I gotta' admit when I saw this item on line and then when I actually got the book delivered in the mag I got a lot more giddy than a rapidly reaching middle aged school teacher should get. What can I say, it's the Avengers!!!! I thought this book was a lot of fun and just a plain trip down Nostaglia Lane for a long time Avengers fan. I really like how almost all the writers seemed to have that same feeling. Comics are great, something is better about the Avengers. The only thing I think I'd have liked more is if the analysis and study of the individual issues was a little more in depth. God, do I sound geeky. Oh well. The different eras were summed up well but I'd have liked even more in depth look at the important issues, etc. It also might have been cool if the various members of the Jarvisheads had a list of the best moments in Avengers' history, etc, etc, best series, best charactes, best villains, etc.
What the heck - I'm on board. I understand there is another volume planned already. I'll be buying it.
