5.0 out of 5 stars Classy, Fun, and Just the right size
Before purchasing this mouse I read many reviews. Some people complained (and one guy even ranted on and on) about how ridiculously small this mouse was. I was extremely worried that I was going to be getting a tiny little mini-mouse. These people made it sound like it was the size of my thumb or something. I went ahead and purchased anyway because I loved the looks of it...

2.0 out of 5 stars works great unless i restart my computer
First the positives. It works great when it actually connects. I love the forward/backward buttons on the side. It is small but not as small as some people seem to think.

Negatives: I have to reinstall it about every 3 times I restart my computer. The "connect" button on the bottom does nothing. The manual it comes with has no troubleshooting in it, but...

Before purchasing this mouse I read many reviews. Some people complained (and one guy even ranted on and on) about how ridiculously small this mouse was. I was extremely worried that I was going to be getting a tiny little mini-mouse. These people made it sound like it was the size of my thumb or something. I went ahead and purchased anyway because I loved the looks of it and wanted it to match the icy white of my Sony Vaio.

I am SO very glad I got this mouse and didn't let those negative reviews get to me because this is NOT a itty bitty tiny mouse! This mouse is about the same size as what I had been previously using (Logitech Nano receiver mouse). It fits perfectly in the palm of my hand and is so very easy to use. Perhaps for those who claimed it to be ridiculously small they were previously using one of those honking big mice, but this mouse is basically average size for mouses being sold these days.

With it's bluetooth capabilities and ease of connection I was up and running in seconds and I LOVE this mouse! It's classy, fun, and comfortable. The back and forward buttons on the side work great for website navigation and the bluetooth seems strong with no lag or disconnection. The scroll wheel is one of the best I've used with ease of motion, little to no click, and feels good under your finger. It's compact enough that it fits in my laptop bag without much bulk, but not so small (like many claimed) that it doesn't feel good during use. I rated is only 4 stars for storage because it's not the most compact for a bag, but it stores fine. There's even an on/off button on the bottom which makes it excellent for saving battery life when not in use and for storing in a case.

I did have to go into settings and reduce the speed in which the pointer reacted because the mouse glides so easily on my desk that it made it quite quick, but other than that everything works fantastic.

Overall this is a fantastic mouse with quick response, a great scroll wheel, on/off button, ease of connection, strong bluetooth, classy look, back/forward buttons for web navigation, and just the right size for use and storage.

I LOVE THIS MOUSE!

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Mouse, December 12, 2009

I really don't think the stupid rant in the first review is valid.....

This is a device for a mobile application and as such, it is just right!

Bluetooth operation is as expected, restart lag is not too long and the
operational sensitivity is adjustable as are all the usual parameters.

The mouse IS small, but not objectionally so.......I am using the mouse
with an Asus UL30-X1, for which it is a perfect companion! (It is also
small). It is a laser mouse and tracks well on most surfaces including
my leg!

Glad I bought it!

I needed a mouse to go with my Asus eee1005 netbook. I looked at all the major brands but none were exactly what I was looking for. Either they were too big, or too power hungry, or too small, not reliable, or just not compatible. Then I saw the Asus Bluetooth mouse. It is perfect. Although slightly smaller than a conventional mouse it does not feel so when I am using it, and I have BIG hands. It has great battery life and links up perfectly with the Asus netbook via Bluetooth. The only downside is it's a little more costly than other wireless mouses, but after you try it, you will be glad you bought it.

First the positives. It works great when it actually connects. I love the forward/backward buttons on the side. It is small but not as small as some people seem to think.

Negatives: I have to reinstall it about every 3 times I restart my computer. The "connect" button on the bottom does nothing. The manual it comes with has no troubleshooting in it, but is great if you speak 25 different languages.

For other people that have this problem: A constant battery light means that it has no connection, therefore you have to uninstall and reinstall to your computer. A flashing battery light means your battery is running low.

I am running windows 7 64bit

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid mobile mouse, July 2, 2010

I bought this mouse to go along with the ASUS G73JH laptop. I love the laptop and this mouse. I have a logitech V220 for my other laptop this mouse is about the same size. I love that's it's bluetooth, NO usb plugin to make it work. I had no problems setting it up it's been working fine. If your looking for a bluetooth, compact, stylish, mobile mouse I would recommend the ASUS BX700. This is the 3rd ASUS product I have bought recently (laptop, mouse, RT-N16 router), once again another ASUS product I am happy with.

5.0 out of 5 stars Got this for my girlfriend, February 6, 2010
This review is from: ASUS BX700 Bluetooth Laser Mouse - Grey (Personal Computers)
I got this for my girlfriend, to go with her new ASUS netbook. She loves it. It fits both her small hand, and mine very well. It is easy to set up and for her to just pull out and use it. I would definitely reccomend this.

2.0 out of 5 stars Just below average, March 22, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
There is nothing special about this mouse. It's a little too small, feels like it wouldn't survive a 6 inch fall onto a pillow, constantly needs to be reconnected and eats batteries.

"a little too small" - I can come closer to forgiving this one over all the rest of the faults due to the fact that I have a larger than average hand; however, I've watched others use this mouse, stop and pick it up and look at it with a tinge of disgust.

"survivability" - This mouse creaks, pops and sounds like squeezing an empty Tic Tac container. I honestly believe I could crush this thing in my fist and walk away with minimal hand damage.

"connecting..." - I expect that I'll need to give the mouse a few seconds to connect whenever I walk away and my computer takes a nap; but it has connection issues while I'm using it...often...and it gets worse the "older" the batteries get.

"batteries" - So far, as a heavy user, I can expect 7 to 10 days use before needing to replace the batteries. I've tried major brands, "long life" types and even rechargeable and no-names. All, with the exception of the rechargeable (1-2 days), seem to make it to the 7 to 10 day mark before connection issues force a swap.

As far as the "good", this mouse will do what it should as long as conditions are ideal. I don't consider that to be good, I feel it's adequate.

I'm using this with a 2010 era Macbook Pro 15" and before you mention it, I'm a former/current PC user and can NOT seem to adjust to Macs mouse. I purchased this because of it's bluetooth connectivity as my Macbook only has 2 USB ports. Rather than getting a hub and connecting/disconnecting everything each time I moved, I opted for this mouse. At this point I will be looking into other options.

I have tried with at least 3 computers, but for some reason I am unable to connect this mouse. I have no problems with other mice I have bought, but find it disappointing with the lack of service on the ASUS website. Wont buy again.

1.0 out of 5 stars Major Flaws, July 12, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
While an inexpensive bluetooth mouse, this device has some significant drawbacks.

- It loses sync with the computer regularly. Not just time outs (which happen all too frequently) but, especially when batteries are starting to get low, at random times. You'll be mousing around only to find that the mouse is no longer broadcasting. Then you get to spend a couple minutes as you slide the switch off and back on to force a (slow) resync.

- Batteries. This thing eats batteries like mad. I have a Logitech bluetooth mouse as well. I've had it for 3 years and replaced batteries in it twice. I did the same for this mouse in 6 months. It is a mystery how it's consuming all that power when it's disconnecting all the time.

- No horizontal scroll on the wheel. It's 2011, and I can't rock the wheel left and right in addition to up and down?

- The size is excellent for small children. If you are a full grown adult, you may want to pick another mouse.
