I recently bought this computer as a family computer. I have only had it for less than two weeks, so will update later once it has been more thoroughly tested.

First let me clear things up. The product description isn't great on this. It was shipped from TigerDirect. So the real specs are:
23.6in 10 point touch screen
1tb hard drive
8gb ram
Nvidia Geforce 630M 2GB dedicated.
Windows 8
i5 (3.0 ghz)

Pros:
very stylish. it isnt bulky and ugly like most all in ones
the touch screen is very responsive right out of the box
came with very little bloat programs
4 3.0 usb ports
comes with wireless mouse and wireless keyboard (includes batteries)
good camera
amazing display picture, looks beautiful
fairly easy to open packing.
display is very easily adjusted and moved around to different angles.
very easy to hook up

cons:
windows 8 is still new and has potential to be great
has a good amount of weight to it.
pesky first time start up with windows 8
very pushy registration pop up box almost immediately after set up

most cons are with windows 8 and not the computer itself. like i said I will update the review at a later date once I have used it some more, right now I have just been installing programs and removing the little bloatware it does have and just basic internet surfing.

windows 8 is fun and has potential but it has its bugs and annoyances. but no doubt that will get updated as it gets older

overall:
very happy with the purchase and would recommend

UPDATE March 6 2013:
So far it is still great.

One downer I have noticed is there is a lack of bluetooth.

I will keep the computer, and it's sufficient, but I'm not over the top impressed so far. I don't think I would buy it again and I would definiteley want to see the computer in person before purchasing next time. I've had it for a week now and my disappointment is not with the performance of the machine, but rather the design, ease of set up, and connectivity.

The sound from the system speakers leaves something to be desired, so I decided to hook up my Logitech speakers that were on my old computer...well, there is no regular speaker jack. There is a port for an Asus subwoofer, but I don't have one and I'm not thrilled about having to spend more money on this system.

There is no bluetooth on this model, seems silly for a computer that's main attraction is the lack of wires and cables.

I have yet to get it to recognize my printer, not sure where to look next for a solution to that problem.

There are two buttons on the bottom left edge of the screen. One is for mode (connecting a TV I think) and the other has settings for your screen etc. I searched Google trying to figure out how to adjust the brightness of the screen as it doesn't work from windows in the start screen. Once you press that button, the menu lights on the front bottom left of the monitor light up. It is very difficult to make adjustments with, but the only way I found to do it.

Sometimes, I like to push the screen back on my desk because it just feels too close, but while the screen will tilt forward and down, it will not push back so the screen is flush with the back of the base.

I put a DVD in the optical drive the other day and it made so much noise that I didn't expect the disc to still be in one piece when I ejected it.

The design of this computer sold me, and even convinced me to walk away from 10 years of laptop ownership. I love the range of movement of the screen; it really makes taking advantage of the touch interface so much more comfortable...which means you're likely to use touch more and that's a great idea with this computer. The screen is large and bright, and it's very responsive. The ports are generally well-placed for access. I do wish there was a BluRay player rather than DVD, but at least there is an HDMI-in port to take advantage of the full HD display. More problematic than BluRay for me, however, were the speakers. My portable Bluetooth speaker sounded significantly better. I've since added an inexpensive 2.1 channel system and I'm very content.

I bought the Asus ET2300 about 2 months ago and was very happy with my purchase. I plugged it into a power strip that I used for my past PC, Sony VAIO All-In-One. To save energy I developed the habit of switching off the power strip after turning off the PC, and back on when I need to use it. With the Sony there was never an issue. At my surprise I noticed that it's not same with the Asus ET2300. One day, when I switched on the power strip I noticed the computer powered itself on for about 9 seconds and shut off. I switched the power strip off and back on again, and the ET2300 turned itself on and off again. I plugged it straight to the wall outlet and it did same thing. That's when I called Asus customer service and was told that my ET2300 has a bad motherboard. He gave me a RMA and told me to send in the PC for repair. So I did, hopping to get back a normal working PC. Unfortunately, Asus repair center sent back the ET2300 and the problem still persists.

Update:
I always shut down the PC before turning off the power strip. I also bought a Belkin advance surge protector with 2280 joules hoping it will help but the PC is sill doing same thing. I notice too that the LED menu stays on even when the PC is shut down. That's one of the reasons that I need to turn off the power strip / surge protector.

Update 02/18/2014:
My ET2300 finally died today. It no longer turns on at all. I ended up getting a fourth RMA. What a shame?
