Just wanted to point out that the first picture above is actually the V-Pro. The Deluxe has no PCI slots nor does it have a DVI connector and it has two ethernet ports on the back instead of the single shown here. The other pictures are of the Deluxe.

More connections than you can think of. I put it in a HAF-X case with 6 Fans each plugged into the mobo. I got this for my 3770K, and the only problem I had was getting a CPU Cooler. I couldn't mount my Corsair H70, so I bought a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, the fan from this cooler goes over the Vengeance Memory so I just had to switch my fan to the other side. When your putting your Mobo in the case don't forget to connect the Blue Tooth Card I forgot, and ended up mounting my mobo twice. The ASUS Deluxe Intel Z77 ATX DDR3 2600 LGA 1155 Motherboard P8Z77-V DELUXE is worth the extra money.

This motherboard has been great, so far. I paired it with a i7 2600k Sandy Bridge CPU and it has been great. I love that it has auto-tuning and so far have overclocked my CPU to 4.5ghz. I love that it had built-in bluetooth and wi-fi. The onboard video is decent have gave me a 6.3 WEI, but I will be buying and installing a GPU as soon as I find the right one.

So far this is the center piece for my newest build that I put together last week. My other computer was a Sandy Bridge set up using an ASUS P8Z68-V PRO Motherboard. With this board I am using an Intel Core i7 3770K processor 3.5 4 LGA 1155 BX80637I73770K. I am quite happy with this board. The Bluetooth works perfectly with my HTC Thunderbolt phone. I have no use for the Wifi part since I just run a hard wire from the wall, so I have not tested it to see how well it works. All the many features of this board are great to have, although right now I do not use most of them. I decided on this board because of the onboard power and reset buttons. The previous P68 pro board had them, but apparantly ASUS decided to not include them on the Z77 boards lower then this one. It just makes life easier when bench testing everything out while outside of a case. I was tempted to go with the Premium board, but only for 3 or 4 way SLI. I had no need for the onboard SSD. So to save money, I decided that this one would be good enough. I am happy I did. The fan expert works as well. When I ramp up processes I can hear the fans spool up to meet the heat. Keeps everything as quiet as possible. The board posted the first time with no errors. Gotta say that I am still sold on ASUS motherboards. The ASUS LED on the Z77 chipset is a nice touch, however my ...Read more ›

2 little Switches on the board and AUTO in the bios and you're done if you want to be. If your other hardware is correct it overclocks a 3770k to around 4.2 without doing anything else.

Been a while since I built a PC, but have to say, it was worth it in the end. Running a comfortable 4.3Ghz with a 3770k and sit at 75degrees under load. Using a good air cooler I can creep up next to 4.5ghz, but the temps are a little scary so I backed down a bit.

Remember these simple things: MULTIPLIER and CPU VOLTAGE, they are pretty much all you need to know if you want to keep things simple and understand a little about what's happening in your rig. Using AI Suite you can just use AUTO overclock or slide the Multiplier up from 39 to 40 to 41 and you'll see the clock settings bump up a hundred or so Mhz each time. You'll need to increase the CPU voltage the same way in small increments to find stability. Basically run a handbrake video encoding session while testing your new settings, if it fails at 1-3%, you're not there yet, bump up the voltage a little more and you'll find it does work. The 3770k can go WAY up but most settle around 4.5 to 4.7Ghz.

A word on RAM: I went with 1866 GSkill Sniper series and they failed. ANY attempt to change any setting in bios resulted in a boot loop. Pull the battery or clear CMOS and it would boot again. Turns out it wasn't on ASUS approved list of RAM and while I've heard it can work with a little tinkering, it defeats the purpose of this board and AUTO overclocking. My next and current choice was Corsair Vengeance 1866, they work just fine and can now make typical changes successfully.

My current setup also uses the Noctua NH D14 monster air cooler.
