What is the point of this thing if it can't do the most basic function and adhere securely to the screen?

The first as mentioned is the metal hinge on the sleeve rubs bare metal to metal against the back plate of the tablet which will cause scratches in just a short time.

If you really like the sleeve otherwise be sure to install some shield to protect the easily scratched aluminum back of the tablet.

While the idea behind the Transleeve is a good one and it definitely looks very nice and unique, it has couple fatal flaws that make it completely useless for me.

If you inspect the sleeve closely you will notice that the hinge is only padded on one side. This means that when you fold the sleeve behind the Transformer, there is nothing between the metal hinge and the aluminum back of the tablet. You will start seeing damage to the aluminum back within a few days.

The second critical issue is that the sleeve doesn't stick to the tablet. It flops around and you have to hold it in place with your hand. Combine this constant movement with the first flaw and you have one quickly scratched tablet in your hands.

If you really like the sleeve otherwise be sure to install some shield to protect the easily scratched aluminum back of the tablet.

As it is this sleeve is definitely overpriced and not a very good way to protect your new tablet, in fact you may do more damage to the Transformer with this than you would do by leaving it unprotected. Asus really dropped the ball when they designed the TranSleeve, with a few easy and obvious tweaks they could have had an excellent product.

First I will say that I love the concept of this design, it allows you to have protection to the screen and a stand all while keeping the thin and light theme going but the product is plagued by 2 serious design flaws. The first as mentioned is the metal hinge on the sleeve rubs bare metal to metal against the back plate of the tablet which will cause scratches in just a short time.

The second cause for concern is that while using this cover as a stand, the side that lays directly on your screen is directly touching the table or surface you place it on. This material picks up and dirt or particles very easily and is now rubbing against your glass when folded back to a screen protector. All it takes is a single granule to create damage on your screen.

Like I said I like the concept but the risk of damage is increased when using this product which is supposed to be for added protection.

Horrid product. Although magnetic, it DOES NOT STICK to the tablet. This means it flops all over the place unless you have gravity in your favor. What is the point of this thing if it can't do the most basic function and adhere securely to the screen?

I ordered this sleeve because I needed something to elevate my tablet while I'm reading. But like the other review, it had created scratches around the hinge. I've been taking care of my asus transformer prime ever since I received it but this sleeve is terrible. The scratches have ruined the beautiful brushed aluminum case. I spent $500 on this tablet and within 2 - 3 hours I noticed scratches from this oem sleeve. Don't waste your money on this product. I bet the $13 leather case I ordered will be better than this crap.
