2.0 out of 5 stars Very poor case May 11, 2011
By DEN863
Amazon Verified Purchase
As of May 2011, this is unfortunately the only sleeve case available for the Asus EEE Pad Transformer.

Pros:

-Custom designed for the Transformer, so holds the tablet well
-Doubles as a stand (albeit poorly)

Cons:

-The case has a rubber lip extending around the edge that makes it somewhat awkward and uncomfortable to hold
-When in stand mode, the tablet bounces when you touch the screen
-The case is made out of a very cheap rubberized fabric that acts as a dust magnet
-No open slot for the micro SD card
-Cant use the case and keyboard dock at the same time
-Very expensive/ overpriced for what you get

1.0 out of 5 stars Junk! May 16, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase
While the tablet is an outstanding value, this sleeve is junk! I admit it is tight fitting, but that's about the only positive. Like others have mentioned, it is a dust magnet and immediately looses the clean finish that you see when you take it out of the package.
Then there is the edge. It is uncomfortable to hold as the 'seams' around the edge sticks out in a way that it jabs in your palm.

And finally the flap itself. It should have been the other way around. When you hold the tablet in landscape mode right side up, the flap is joined under the tablet, This requires you to hold the flap against the back of the tablet. If it were attached on the top, it would have fallen at the back naturally.

In the end, it is a badly thought out, and a poorly designed product rushed to the market, waaaaay overpriced!

Edit 06/07:

So after using this for a while...the snug fit is gone. The material has stretched and the tablet wiggles around. I really wish a good alternative was available.

1.0 out of 5 stars Waste of money. May 12, 2011
By blden
I really expected a lot more for what this thing costs, but honestly if it only cost $10 I'd still be disappointed. The fabric attracts dust like a magnet. The 'lip / seam' around the outside edge gives this sleeve a 'cheap' feel. The sleeve has to be open for the charging cable to be attached. Bottom line is, save your money and give the the after market guys time to come up with a better product for a fraction of the price.

4.0 out of 5 stars I dont get what all the fuss is about... June 6, 2011
By B. Shaw
Hello...
I dont get all the complaints about this folio case for the transformer. Yes it is over priced, but it's the only thing out there right now for this tablet so Asus can do what they want. As far as the folio, I think it does a great job keeping the tablet secure and protected. The material is a little flimsy but this is not a case, it is a folio. All of the ipad folios I've had my hands on feel the same way. It is a little annoying that the case is made for the tablet the opposite way I'd expect it go in as, but maybe thats a difference buying a foreign product? When it comes down to it, this is a great option for the folio look. I have a cat and have had zero problems with it attracting pet hair like others have complained.
I am sure that there will be better products in the future, but for now this case does exactly what I wanted it to do without a bulky feel and having to unzip or take it out for each use. I think people just like to complain. I'm a picky person, and I have no problems giving this 4 stars. If it was cheaper I'd say it is a must buy for any transformer owner.

2.0 out of 5 stars ASUS builds computers not cases May 25, 2011

Ordered the case immediately after my transformer. I thought it would be the best choice, totally wrong :(

-Looks cool when closed if it is new. Unfortunately after a couple of days it will be full of dust and fingers marks.
-Does not have an opening for the microSD card.
-The speakers holes kind of muffle the sound.
-After you play a little with your tablet it gets kinda saggy so you end up adjusting the tablet inside the case.

So, for the price, totally not worth it. Save your money for some other.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not usable with the keyboard dock July 5, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase
If the transformer didn't have a keyboard dock, then I would just find this sleeve OK, although it's overpriced.
The real bad thing is that you can't use this sleeve when the tablet is docked: this is a major disappointment.

1.0 out of 5 stars Waist of money, horrible cover for the Transformer June 24, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase
To preface my review, I have owned the product for a full 30 days. I use my Transformer on a daily basis, and this cover just gets in the way. After figuring out how to insert the Transformer into the sleeve(no instructions provided, although not that difficult to figure out), I realized that the sleeve does not have a velcro strip to allow the transformer to be used while in the sleeve. The sleeve however does have a lip to allow the transformer to stand upright, however it MUST be on a flat surface and not touched otherwise it will fall over.

Aesthetically speaking, the sleeve looks great until it comes into contact with dust, dirt or any other particulate matter. It is a PAIN to get it clean once dust has touched it. I almost need another sleeve to keep this one from getting dirty!

Asus should have never put their name on this product, I have returned mine to Amazon and if given the chance, would have never purchased this product.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor case August 27, 2011
By Jeff
I bought this when the TF first came out. Didn't have any other choice then.

Just a fair warning, if you are going to use the tablet with the dock for most of the time, then don't bother with the case -- you'll need to take the case off every time. I recommend a skin guard for the back as that stopped the "creaky" problem. Also, get one of those netbook cases for the dock and tablet if you plan on carrying it around.

Cons of the case:
1) For some reason, they made the edges sharp so the case is very uncomfortable to hold.
2) Case is expensive. Three times the price of a BETTER case.
3) The material just feels like a fake sort of plastic leather
4) It will collect dust. Guaranteed. Good luck trying to clean it off. When you try to wipe the dust off, it only makes it worse and expands the problem area. The case was black when I first got it but now it's a shade gray.

I was disappointed the moment I laid my eyes on it.

I'm not sure why people are rating this case 3+ stars. They must have been written when it was the only case available for this tablet. Time to bring this to a appropriate rating, people!

To Asus: The tablet itself is pretty good. Stick to tablets. Let someone else do the case work or at least hire a manufacturer that doesn't make crap. Thanks.
