Used for the AFOQT sections-- there was good background and prep, but be careful on the practice test! (Especially test 2!) The answer key isn't always correct (it isn't that I'm amazing and get the right answers... but the explanations don't always line up with the right answer. For example, it says that the correct answer is option C, "2 apples," but when you look, "2 apples" is actually answer B, not C...)

This book was horrible. Very disappointed especially since it comes from such a good source. It was written by a retired Lieutenant in the Air Force. Now, I don't know about you, but I don't know many people that retire at the second lowest rank you can earn in the military. Regardless, the book was full of questions especially in science and math that were not relevant to the ASVAB. The ASVAB is not going to ask you anything related to chemistry, yet this book has chemistry questions. The math was hit or miss. There are better ASVAB books out there that are almost like taking the real thing. Don't get this book.

It's good for studying for the math and verbal sections but the individual tests such as mechanical comprehension, electronics and general science is very poor. For example, mechanical comprehension is straight up physics with many equations but the book does not go into this at all. There is also one other thing. THERE ARE MANY MISPRINTS AND MISTAKES. I can't even say how many mistakes there were. It's like this was never even reviewed thoroughly before being put into print.
