I've been bombarded with study systems from colleagues and friends, but what I found on my own did the trick. The best feature of the ASWB Flashcard Study System is the amount of knowledge contained in one paragraph of the study card. They didn't just answer the test question, like so many other systems, and then move on. They placed in the first sentence of each answer what the answer is based on and individual's names that "founded" the theory or collaborated on the subject together. These are the answers that the professors are looking for.

As a former graduate student, it's easy to look back and just regurgitate a basic answer or fact. It's quite another to be able to explain a subject in a conversation successfully, a decade later; all from memory of this one exam. This system allows you to KNOW it. Want to ACE your ASWB? Get this system. Period.

This product gives you a great option to review for the lCSW test. The cards are easy to read and realistic towards the
standardized testing. The bonus questions are great and with great tips for talking the test.

The flash cards were very helpful in preparing for the Social Work Clinical exam. I found the conversational approach along with specific details to be a good way to integrate the material. My suggestion to improve them is to include a few more theories of practice and human development, as I thought some specific topics had too much detail and too many cards. But overall this is a valuable tool for study and review of the concepts needed for the exam - I recommend it especially if you've been out of school for a while.

The cards were very complete in their information and content. There are many typo's, and they do not help with preparing for the structure of the Licensing Exam or how to actually take the exam but are a great way to review content. I used these cards and took the Exam in Michigan and passed with no problems. However, I also took a prep course that coached me in how to take the test. The combination of the cards along with the practice tests and course I took was exactly what I needed to pass with flying colors. These are also great to have someone quiz you on material even if they are not familiar with social work concepts. I also used these in our study group.

If you are preparing to take your LCSW test and need some assistance on remembering info that has been long lost from years of not being in school, or if you simply need to refreshen your memory, these flash cards cover a wide array of info.

I purchased the ASWB Clinical Exam Flashcard Study System; What great study system and they are great to take with you for studying. Perfect to use with a study buddy!!! Well worth the money!!!

There are lots of cards, but the format is not great, and a lot of the cards are unclear in the wording. They would be helpful to read through as a way to review topics, but not as practice test items. I tried to like these but ended up not really using them. Instead I used a great web-based SW exam prep site- was much more relevant, and I passed my exam!

The cards were poor quality card stock that needed to be ripped apart. I expected quality similar to a deck of cards. They were not designed in question format like other study guides. There was too much information on each card that didn't seem applicable to helping you pass the SW exam. I would not recommend these as a study tool.

Caveat-- I have not yet taken the test, so my prep strategies have not been proven successful. :)

I found these cards to be convoluted and wordy. Social work concepts are multifaceted and complex-- and do not lend themselves well to flashcards. I looked at them a few times, took them to my LCSW supervisor and we decided it was not only confusing but also gives no feel about the verbiage or organization of the test.

I *much* prefer the clinical social work prep guide I bought for my Kindle. Pricey? You betcha. But at this point, after my MSW program, 2 years of out-of-pocket LCSW supervision and the money plunked down for the actual test, pricey is relative.

Although the cards may overwhelm you at first because they have lots of info; they provide you with enough material to get prepare for the test. This is only one of the tools you should use for studying...
