5.0 out of 5 stars AT&T E2116 Phone, November 9, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: AT&T 2116 2.4 GHz Telephone with Caller ID (Silver Grey) (Office Product)
I read a review of this phone in Consumer Reports, which scored it very high. In fact I think it was rated as a "Best Buy" because the price was so low and the quality was high. I have been very happy with the phone. It is just what I needed for my home office. The sound quality is great and it was easy to program.

5.0 out of 5 stars Review of AT&T E2116 Cordless Phone, February 13, 2007

The best thing about this phone is the speaker button. When I make a call and get put on hold for the next available operator I just push the speaker button and lay the phone down until the operator comes on. Some companies have you wait 10 to 15 minutes. Sound quality of the phone is excellent.

2.0 out of 5 stars Speed dial unusable, April 8, 2007
This review is from: AT&T 2116 2.4 GHz Telephone with Caller ID (Silver Grey) (Office Product)
To use the speed dial, you must first hold down the button to get the number to be displayed. Then press phone or spkrphone to send. I'd say about 80% of the time when I used the phone button I got "number could not be completed as dialed". If I used the spkrphone button instead it always worked, convincing me that it was the phone button and not something else. I also had complaints that people couldn't hear me, but only when I was using the headset (which is most of the time). I use this same headset with other phones, so I'm fairly sure it wasn't the headset.

I returned it for a replacement phone and it had the same problem. I have to say that amazon has made the whole return process very easy. Since the second phone exhibits the same problem, I'll get refunded. I commend their customer service.
