2.4 GHz operation offers greater clarity and longer range than older phones operating on lower bands, and autoscan selects the available channel with the least interference, resulting in clearer conversations. Plus digital spread spectrum (DSS) technology spreads your digitized voice over a wider band, breaking the signal into pieces and sending different pieces on different frequencies. DSS results in clearer sound with less interference and more privacy than standard digital.
The fully-digital integrated answering system offers remote access and time/day stamping, with a visual message waiting indicator. Each handset operates as a full-duplex speakerphone, and the backlit three-line LCD lets you scroll and access any of 50 stored caller ID memory locations. The AT&T 2325 also features a belt-clip and head-set jack, plus a one-year warranty.

OK, but...,

This review is from: AT&T 2325 2.4 GHz DSS Expandable Cordless Phone with Digital Answering System and Caller ID (Office Product)
Bought this phone because of the "memory match" feature - Caller ID is supposed to display the name of the caller as it is saved in your directory - like a cellphone. Catch is that this only works for local callers, if you saved the number with a "1-" prefix, no match. Called ATT customer service to discuss the issue, but they couldn't understand a word I said because I was using the handset speakerphone. Returned it the very next day.

This review is from: AT&T 2325 2.4 GHz DSS Expandable Cordless Phone with Digital Answering System and Caller ID (Office Product)
I bought this phone with answerer after a bit of research on the many different ones out there. I didn't want to spend a lot of money (there are the new 4.8 GHz phones out there) but I wanted a system that was expandable for rooms without a phone jack and a digital answerer. What I liked about the individual handsets was that each operated also as a speakerphone. It's great when you have a 18 month old who always wants to get on the phone when they see you talking, just press the speakerphone button, let them hold the phone and you can still hear and converse with the caller on the other end. The sound quality is pretty clear (having been on the opposite end of a speakerphone call) and the digital answerer is okay - could be better but I've definitely had worse. Overall, I'm fairly satisfied with this phone and would recommend one to try it if they are looking for a similar system.

Agree with all of the reviews below. Phone is lousy. Handset is not ergonomic at all. Hard to dial. Heard to hear. Bought this at Costco--should have read the reviews first. My mistake.
