This phone is set up the way it should be. Its not confusing. The buttons are large and clearly seen, even the flash and speakerphone.
It is a nice size. Nice display of caller ID, which also records the date and time of the caller ID. The basic features on this phone are
even better than other AT&T models. Perhaps the better purchase is the 32200 with the dual handsets.

Had this product for about 1 month. It was very easy to set up, good sound quality, nice big buttons and at a good price. It has the answering machine and it is a small size so it doesn't take up too much room on the table. My main problem with cordless phones in general though is how long they last. Hopefully we will get 5 yrs out of this one. It seems like we are replacing cordless phones every 3 yrs. If you're looking for a basic cordless phone with answering machine, that looks good, at a fair price, then you have found a good option with the AT&T DECT 6.0 Digital Cordless Answering System (32100).

12/03/2011: Base began flashing and was unresponsive 9 months after purchase. By other reviews, this is not the only occurrence. It's still within warranty. Mailed it into AT&T per their warranty instructions. USPS tracking indicated that AT&T received it 3 weeks ago, but they still haven't acknowledged receipt by e-mail. Phone was fine while it worked. I bought the same model phone for my parents. Theirs has been in use longer, receives heavier use, and is still in service with no problems or complaints. 01/05/2012: Received a call from AT&T two days ago asking if I had received my phone back. I told him I hadn't even received acknowledgement from them that they had received it. He said he'd check on it and call me back the next day with a status update. Haven't heard back from him, so I wait. 01/30/2012: Still nothing. 04/30/2012: It would appear that the manufacturer will not be honoring warranty on my phone. For what it's worth, my parents' phone remains in use with no problems. I now own a VTECH.

I tried the two reciever version of this phone and it was great until it crashed after one year. I am hoping this one lasts longer. Even if it didn't, I'd buy another one, becasue its features make it the best available.

Update: this lasted about one year and then it crashed. I bought something else.

My old Sony cordless phone battery died after many years of good service. This AT&T model works well, but with only one complaint from me. If you have large hands, it is easy to accidently hang up, due to the narrow and thin design, coupled with the large buttons. (Narrow and thin compared to much older phones that is.) If you are talking and cradling the phone on your shoulder to talk hands free, it's also easy to accidently disconnect. I've just learned to be careful and deal with it, other than that, nice phone with some great features.

It's slimmer than my old cordless and lighter in weight. You don't need to have the volumn of the ringer or phone very loud. Plus the keys and ear piece light up when it rings, so you can see it in the dark. The phone is so sensative than somebody on the other end of a call could hear my dog yelping two rooms away. I highly recommend this phone to anybody who needs one.

I suffer from minor hearing loss. I purchased this phone based on the hype re the 'Audio Assist', a feature touted to enhance incoming volume. With 'Audio Assist' turned on the volume is less than a regular phone without this feature. Turning on 'Audio Assist' to listen to messages, same result. This review in no way reflects on the seller's performance, as the phone was delivered on time, in excellent condition. This is a product which should not be marketed as a boon for the hearing impaired. It falls short, way short.

This is a nice phone - answering machine with all the needed features. This answering machine has audible message alert, which is important to me so I know when I have a new message as soon as I come in the door (since I don't always check the visual display, which is also very good, but you have to remember to look). My only regret is that I should have bought the 32200, which has an extra handset for about $10 more.

Bought this unit second hand to replace one that had gone sour after about six years in use. Had no real complaints about
the old one so bought another. Very versatile in functionality with clear (and variable) voice reception. Scree readouts remained clear over the years unlike some other brands. Very good product.

This phone is okay but not always clear. The volume does not go high enough for me. I do have a hearing problem. The speaker phone can sometimes distort the incoming voice. I have olde ATT phones which are very good, but I would not buy this model again.
