4.0 out of 5 stars Great, but has a few flaws
Although this product is great, I cant give it 5 stars. I really like having a digital radio, I can finally get stations I used to only be able to get in the car. But the precision of the radio was lost on the volume slide thing. It is very imprecise. And like the review says, you cant see the time when the radio is on. Also, if you accidentally bump the phone off the...

1.0 out of 5 stars Terribly designed; not up to AT&T standards
This product obviously never saw an AT&T test lab.The features to set the alarm (both to set the time and turn it on and off) is completely obscure. Why is "radio" labelled A and "buzzer" B? There's enough room for the names. Why do you have to press one button then change the time then press another? Why does it flash the time for a while then...

1.0 out of 5 stars Terribly designed; not up to AT&T standards, December 18, 1999
This review is from: AT&T 360 Clock Radio Corded Phone with Caller ID (Office Product)
This product obviously never saw an AT&T test lab.The features to set the alarm (both to set the time and turn it on and off) is completely obscure. Why is "radio" labelled A and "buzzer" B? There's enough room for the names. Why do you have to press one button then change the time then press another? Why does it flash the time for a while then stop?

More aggravating points: a very bright red light stays lit until you go through and view EVERY new call in the caller ID interface. You cannot turn it off; pressing the Caller ID button brings up another interface. There is no radio on/off, but a "radio" button that serves that function in an obscure manner.

Yes, it takes a 9-volt battery for backup, but in a power outage last night - this was the last straw - the clock pooped out after a few hours with a fresh, tested battery. Why? Because it had to devote so much energy to keeping the caller ID red light lit up.

Ay, caramba.

I'm returning this. It has good electronics, but awful design. This product reminds me of the Nutr-I-Matic from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: you're so overcome with joy at defeating its minor design flaws that you overlook that it has major design flaws rendering it less than useful. (Or, to put it another: it's almost, but not entirely, exactly unlike a clock radio or a phone.)

1.0 out of 5 stars Why Would Anyone Buy This?, February 19, 2000
By
Marie Brown (Kernersville, NC) - See all my reviews
This review is from: AT&T 360 Clock Radio Corded Phone with Caller ID (Office Product)
Based upon other customers reviews, I bought this product because I wanted a digital radio that would reliably wake me up in the morning. The radio quality is the only redeeming feature I can see in this product. It is worthless as a clock - the face is angled so one must be above it and within 2 feet to read the pale display of the time. The illuminated display area is too bright making sleep all but impossible while the readout is practically invisible. Contrary to the advice of AT&T tech support, the alarm MUST be activited each night even when the word ALARM remains in the display area. The volume control is poor, but that seems the least of this products problems. Too much technology and too little common sense!

3.0 out of 5 stars too complicated to set the alarm; radio volume in bad place, November 2, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: AT&T 360 Clock Radio Corded Phone with Caller ID (Office Product)
Excellent clarity on the phone and radio. Has volume control for phone. Volume control on radio/alarm is in a very bad location. Reach over and turn the clock where you can see it and you have inadvertanly turned the volume all the way down. That is a real problem come morning. While this is a first rate phone and radio, I have a problem with having to push so many buttons to set the alarm. To reset the alarm for the next day, you must turn off the alarm and then remember to turn it back on for the next day. Alarm A is radio; alarm B is buzzer.

But the precision of the radio was lost on the volume slide thing. It is very imprecise. And like the review says, you cant see the time when the radio is on. Also, if you accidentally bump the phone off the hook, the radio will not come on (very bad if you have that as your alarm). Still, its worth getting it, especially if you live in a dorm or a place where you dont have a lot of space.

1.0 out of 5 stars Radio & display died after only 18 months, June 4, 2001

I have not liked this unit since I bought it 18 months ago. The programming is not intuitive at all. Secondly, the snooze and alarm buttons are difficult to find if the unit is on the left side of the bed. Also, by the size of the display you'd think it would be easy to read. However I cannot see it from my bed--a foot away--let alone across the room. A black display with lighted letters/numerals would be better. Then yesterday I unplugged the phone as instructed to replace the 9V backup battery. When I plugged it back in, the light came on but there is no display. The radio won't work and neither will the alarm. All I have left is a phone. I bought this unit for the combination of features/price but I guess you get what you pay for!

4.0 out of 5 stars Second time was a charm, December 9, 1999

The first unit I purchased was for my daughters 12th birthday. When we set it up in her room the radio would absolutely not work. I tried it in differrent rooms but nothing. Called AT&T for help, but the final call was that it had a defective audio board. So I called Amazon.com. They were very helpful and courtious, some the nicest and most concerned I have talked to. They had another shipped next day. The second unit works fine. Some of the controls are a little too difficult for some younger ones to understand.

1.0 out of 5 stars Good Idea, bad product, January 5, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: AT&T 360 Clock Radio Corded Phone with Caller ID (Office Product)
I purchased this item about 18 months ago and I'm not particularly satisfied with it. It's a great idea - a phone and clock radio all in one - a great space saver. Unfortunately, this is not the model to buy. The display screen is at a difficult angle to see unless you raise your head. The controls are not particularly intuitive to use. The worst aspect of the unit, however, is the volume control. It is very imprecise and the volume can't be set low enough without cutting out completely. Don't waste your money....

This review is from: AT&T 360 Clock Radio Corded Phone with Caller ID (Office Product)
I loved the digital AM/FM radio...it is much more accurate and convenient than the dial type. My spouse and I love the dual alarm feature!! It saves us much needed space on our nightstands!!

A must for anyone with a phone in their bedroom!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Clock radio/telephone, December 28, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: AT&T 360 Clock Radio Corded Phone with Caller ID (Office Product)
I received product fine. The radio part of unit would be loud & if touched unit it would go silent, till touched somewhere on it or shook. The phone worked fine. The dial couldn't be seen unless right on top of it, even in bed, had to raise up to see. I had a GE that had a blk screen & the no.'s could be seen across the room. I guess I got a defective unit. When I emailed sender, he told me not to send bk/refunded my money. I gave to good will.
