5.0 out of 5 stars Does everything I hoped and more
We have three of these handsets to go with the answering machine/base. We use them all over the house as phones and intercom. You can call any handset from any other handset. Has redial memory like a cell, use the arrow keys to find the last few numbers you called from that handset. Easily listen to messages from any handset. All this and we didn't read the manual...

1.0 out of 5 stars Junk at best
I've had this phone system for three years. After the first year I had to replace the rechargable battery; it just wouldn't hold a charge. Now the replacement barely holds the charge. I'm in a position whether to buy a second wireless phone with it or spend more money to replace the entire system. Probably the latter, even though that will cost me $200+., rather than $100...

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Phone for Office, April 29, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: AT&T 2402 2-Line 2.4GHz Accessory Handset for AT&T 2462 Expandable Phone (Metallic Black) (Office Product)
I use this phone at work. It works great. Volume, caller ID, redial are all working well. Battery stays charged even when I forget to put it on the base when I leave at night. The battery life display is very helpful! We do not have a wireless net work so I can't speak for that type of interference but it sits next to my printer, under the copier/fax and next to my desk with my computer and it's clear as a bell. You can't get too far (go outside to the parking lot) away from the base but isn't that true of all of the portables?

5.0 out of 5 stars Like it enough to buy more handsets!, January 18, 2004

Bought this phone several months ago, and now I'm ordering more of the expandable handsets as my other 2-line phones wear out. It works great....and I really like how the handsets take up little space and only need an electric outlet. You can even put them in the bathroom!!! Great product.

4.0 out of 5 stars It's not "the product" that counts . . ., December 18, 2011

. . . because an AT&T phone is, after all, just a telephone. The difference is in the sellers. I have dealt with two separate people in re-creating my original AT&T system, and they have both been first-rate, spot on, helpful, knowledgable people - - and (get this!) humane and human, too. One signs, "By Design37," while the other is "J666;" and as I have said in earlier reviews, my own impression is that in dealing with either of these two, one cannot go wrong. Again, I thank them both. Oh, and "the product(s)?" Just exactly as they were supposed to be.

5.0 out of 5 stars Accessory Handset for AT&T 2402 2-line Phone, June 28, 2007
This review is from: AT&T 2402 2-Line 2.4GHz Accessory Handset for AT&T 2462 Expandable Phone (Metallic Black) (Office Product)
I had been looking for an additional handset for my AT&T 2-line phone and was shocked to see how costly they had become now that the phone is several years old. So, upon finding this refurbished one, I decided to chance it. I have been using it for several months and it works just fine.

I would definitely buy from this seller again. The response time
and receipt of the product was the best I have encountered since ordering on the internet.

1.0 out of 5 stars Unsatisfactory Item, May 12, 2007

The unit appeared to operate correctly for the first few weeks. After approximately 40 days the Charging Unit would not Function (no green light and no resultant charge i=of the handset)correctly. I have the base unit (purchased in an Electronic Store)that still operates after 18 months
- but wanted to have another remote habdset to go with it - am sorry I ordered the unit.

I have gone through numerous 2 line phones - so far this one is my favorite. I love the fact that you can automatically have the phones shut off at a certain time. I live in Hawaii and no longer have to worry about 3 AM calls from people on the East Coast.

4.0 out of 5 stars not bad at all, August 28, 2006
This review is from: AT&T 2402 2-Line 2.4GHz Accessory Handset for AT&T 2462 Expandable Phone (Metallic Black) (Office Product)
It came without a hard case or cardoard box. that would be my only arguement reducing this rating from 5 stars. other than delivery. the phone seems to be working just fine.

4.0 out of 5 stars AT&T 2462 Base and handset, June 26, 2006
This review is from: AT&T 2402 2-Line 2.4GHz Accessory Handset for AT&T 2462 Expandable Phone (Metallic Black) (Office Product)
We have had this system for almost three years now. Frankly, I think the quality of the signal, audio, and lack of interference with our existing wireless products makes it a great phone system. While some of the features are somewhat counter-intuitive, the system is overall quite reliable and easy to use. We have dropped the portables a few times, and the battery compartment hatch cover is pretty sensitive to this kind of abuse, but even so, we have had not significant issues. I do find the lack of a one-button redial and a 'on busy, redial xTimes feature a minor incovenience, but that is made up for by the memory redial and LNR.

Overall, a good system.
