It transmits over 5.8 GHz DSS technology, offering you the best available performance when it comes to clarity, range, and security. To be on the 5.8 GHz wavelength means you're on a much less trafficked area of the bandwidth than both the 2.4 GHz and 900 MHz products occupy.
The answering system can record up to 99 messages, depending on how long each message is. Individual messages can be up to 4 minutes long, but total maximum recording time is 25 minutes. Messages will remain available for replay until you delete them. Each handset has a full color graphic display with an icon driven menu for easy control and use, as well as adjustable polyphonic music ring tones. Other features include:

I love it!,
This review is from: AT&T E5862 5.8GHz Expandable Cordless Telephone and Answering System (Office Product)
I'm in the process of buying another one for my mom. Favorite feature: along with caller ID, it voices the phone number while it's ringing. That means, that when it rings, I can hear who's calling, enabling me to run to the phone or forget it!!

This review is from: AT&T E5862 5.8GHz Expandable Cordless Telephone and Answering System (Office Product)
This item has met or exceeded my expectations. Having 4 around the house makes the intercom feature handy. There is plenty of time on the answering machine and the programming features for each phone provide added flexability.

Second AT&T phone will be my last,
By Ahoro Blethends "Seriously" (Intercourse, PA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: AT&T E5862 5.8GHz Expandable Cordless Telephone and Answering System (Office Product)
This is the second AT&T phone that I have owned and both have been rubbish! The signal strength needs to be optimal before this phone will work. That is...you have to stand almost right next to the base for it to work. If thats the case you may as well save some money and purchase a cord phone (almost $100 savings). No more AT&T phones for me!
