This headphones were good, but not perfect.

Pros:
SOUND QUALITY is good
balance in terms of highs, mids, lows
Bassy, but does not overpower the treble
12.5mm drivers- most earphones are 8.5-10.0mm. So if you are looking for some powerful sound, these drivers will deliver.
durable for the most part
bottom cord can be replaceable

Cons
Uncomfortable, the weird design makes it so I am unable to wear them for long periods of time. Anything pass 1-2 hour of listening would irritate my ears.
Because it is divided into 2 cords, which hooks up to one another, I find to cord too long when you use both cords, and too short when you dont attach the extension cord. Without the extension cord, these headphones will not reach your ears if your mp3 player is in your pocket. With the extension cord, I find the extra cord always gets messy- getting caught in a lot of things.

Overall, these are decent headphones. Sound quality is on pare with klipsch s4's but lacking in the comfort and design aspect.

I purchased these at a sale price. I chose red because I don't like black and white is too plain. The built quality is good. The cable length is very short. I guess they make short length cable for people that use armband for running. Besides that, the headphone gives excellent sound. The bass is very tight and clear. The high is clear, sparkly, but is not sibilance. Vocal and mid are great. The sound is very balanced but has a little emphasis on the bass and high. At $40, it is a steal!

Update 4/20/12:

About me: I do own some full size expensive headphones (Sennheiser HD598 and ATH-M50.) And the CKM50A is so good and almost as clear as my full size headphones. It has better bass than my HD598 and just as clear high as my M50. I think they should be worth around $70. At $50 or less, this is a steal. people just don't know about this headphone yet. Wait until more people start buying!

These sound absolutely fantastic right out of the box, with booming lows that have great extension. Crystal clear highs that are pinpoint accurate, and responsive mids that really balance everything out creating a huge soundstage for the awesome angled drivers. On top of all of that, they are extremely comfortable, come with 3 sets of Earbuds, and a two year warranty from Audio Technica. Which has some of the best warranty in the industry. For the money these are almost impossible to beat, and wait until you burn them in for 40 hours. They rival sets two to three times their price. I'm extremely happy with them, and use them all the time replacing my Beats Earbuds that came with my HTC Rezound. Highly recommended for budget audiophiles.

These used to retail for nearly a hundred dollars and it's easy to see why. Great bass and extended trebles, but not sacrificing the mids. Some folks think the highs are shrill, but I don't... cymbals sound like cymbals and the details in the music are distinct. I got mine for twenty six dollars, thirty-one shipped. Comfortable, too. Don't be afraid to experiment with different tips, as this can alter the sound characteristics. May be the best IEM I've heard, especially for the money I paid.
