AR-15 Pistol Grip,

This review is from: ATI AR-15 Pistol Grip (Sports)
The grip is good quality material.
I had to do some grinding and filing on the inner surfaces to make it fit (Bushmaster carbine). Once fitted, it it a nice improvement to the look and feel of the gun.

I got this grip along with the ATI .223 Strikeforce buttstock package, and considered it a bonus. It was very tight going on, but I pried the sides open with a screwdriver, and got it on just fine. The upside to that is that it fits snugly! It has nice deep grooves, and fits my hand comfortably. I'm not so in love with the hard plastic though. The open cavity is just begging to be used as storage, but as far as I can tell there is no plug available for it. I'm rating this 3/5 because the price is too close to that of the Hogue grip with its soft rubber feel and available storage, which is just so much better. This is a far sight better than the stock grip though.*EDIT* I have upgraded to a Hogue grip, and I'm never going back!

If you are looking for a grip to upgrade your factory AR grip, this is a reasonably priced option. Some people have said that they had to take tools to the grip to grind away the opening in order to get it to slide over the lower receiver. I just used a rawhide mallet to tap it down onto my inverted rifle's lower receiver, though I urge caution to go slow. If you're having to wail away at the grip to get it to slide on, then you should Dremel Tool the grip slot to widen it to avoid shattering the plastic. It looks cool and feels 1 million times better in my hand than the OEM grip S&W put on. There is no noticeable increase in weight for those of you that need to run with your rifle and so forth. I just like the comfort while I shoot standing up. ATI stuff seems well constructed, and I would recommend this grip to any of my AR friends.
