Didn't fit my Remington 870,

This review is from: ATI Shotgun Tube Barrel Mag Extension/ Flashlight Holder (Misc.)
Item arrived quickly but it doesn't fit my Remington 870 w/ ATI mag extension. I intended to clamp it between the mag extension and barrel, and attach a sling to my shotgun, but the grooves for the barrel and mag extension are spaced too far apart. I can probably find another use for it (mount a light beneath the mag extension or something like that). Perhaps it fits other brand shotguns, but the barrel and magazine on my 870 are spaced closer together than the grooves on the clamp.

This review is from: ATI Shotgun Tube Barrel Mag Extension/ Flashlight Holder (Misc.)
This mag clamp seems to be constructed well enough, and tightens down nicely. It holds the 1" diameter flashlight just right for the right tactical setup. The only problem is, it is not the right size in any shape or form to fit the 12ga magazine extension from ATI. The clamp is the same diameter on both sides, even with the composite insert removed. The magazine extension is larger in diameter than the barrel, this requires a different clamp size on one side of this product. This could be overlooked due to the fact that it would hold the mag securely if it were not for the spacing between the barrrel and magazine. The space between centerline of each of the clamp sides is too great. In other words, the product pushes apart the barrel from the magazine extension. Perhaps it is not designed for this particular model of firearm, but I have yet to find another it will fit without issues. I will continue looking for the right part for me.

Fit is wrong,
By Even the picture from ATI's web site shows the magazine being pushed away from the barrel. Not the best advertisement for their product. It's a great product once you spend a couple hours reshaping it.
