Unit has state of the art automatic On/Off feature, the Proximity sensor turns bi-oculars ON when brought into the viewing position; 4.5x magnification with a built in long range IR Illuminator (optional IR-450 available), handstrap for comfort of use, easy to use digital controls, water and fog resistant. Specialized multicoated optics provide extreme clarity in low-light situations. Camera adaptable (optional adapter available). Requires two 3V lithium batteries, included. The scope is outstanding and definitely exceeds my expectations. Once you familiarize yourself with its' capabilities you realize it is in a class of its' own. Since it is a "fine instrument" I felt that it needed a custom case padded with thick foam to protect it. I have enjoyed it and will continue for my lifetime.
