I purchased this 4GB thumb drive prior to my deployment to Afghanistan. Once I opened it up and used it in country, I tried to put some pictures on it but they wouldn't load because they were too big. It turns out the drive was only 38mb - not big enough for any files except documents. I only managed to use it for a Word.doc one time but that's about it. I had my IT guys look at it and there was no way around the 38mb. I did not damage it or even use it - it came right out of the packaging that way. I contacted the manufacturer and they said they would assign me an RMA if I mailed it back to them with a copy of the receipt and shipping address so they could repair or replace the item. Unfortunately, the receipt was not on my packing list for deployment so I am stuck with a useless thumbdrive. Customer service was good however, and they apologized for not being able to help me. The service representative said, "We do have a few similar cases happened in the past. Normally, we send the units back to our manufacture for repair/inspection". The rep referred me to positive reviews on the ATP website, but that didn't really help me. Maybe it was a fluke, but I was left highly dissappointed in a far away land without the use of my thumbdrive that I specifically purchased for its alleged durability and storage capacity. I guess I got the drive that slipped thru the quality control cracks. Very doubtful I'll order from this company again.
