CAR AUDIO 3.5MM JACK AUX AUXILIARY CABLE FOR IPOD MP3

I purchased this to connect my iphone 3g to my car stereo system. At first I couldn't fully plug the jack into my phone due to the fact that my speck candyshell case blocked part of the black plastic that surrounds the jack. To solve this problem I took a razor and shaved down some of the black plastic surrounding the jack until it was skinny enough to allow the jack to plug into my phone with a satisfying click. That solution did the trick and the cord still works perfectly so don't worry about messing up your cord, just make sure you don't cut too deep as you shave the plastic down.

Otherwise the cord is unremarkable, it's pretty long. I drive a 4 door sedan and the cord reaches to the backseats easily. I'm guesstimating but I'd say the cord is at least 4 feet long or so. It's actually kind of annoying having such a long cord when I'm driving my car alone but that was solved easily enough by taking one of the twistie ties that you get for vegetable bags at the grocery store and wrapping that around the extra slack in the cord. Now it looks a lot cleaner and I don't have cords all over the place when I'm driving.

I tried the aux in my car and unfortunately it does not work as the music keeps going up and down...i have not used it since...bad choice.

This is ok for the price, but I have had better. It's not very nice looking. It works but doesn't put out a lot of sound and has some static feedback. I recommend pay and extra 5-10 dollars for a better set that.

When I bought this item, I was hoping to just plug it into the ipod and have no problem listening to my favorite hits in the car. Well, it is very sensitive to where it is located in the vehicle. If I hold it just right it plays through all speakers and sounds great! When I set it down in the center console cup holder, it plays only on the right side of the vehicle - with nothing playing on the driver's side. Kind of odd - might want to reconsider purchasing another one of these.

The Ipod jack is a good length and I'm now enjoying listening to my ipod in the car.

I bought 2 of these. The first one started having issues after a couple weeks (losing the connection) so I started using the 2nd one. I didn't contact the seller. So far so good, but it's only been a couple of weeks. Like anything, I'm sure you get what you pay for. These were priced extremely low. I'm happy with my purchase.
