I was apprehensive because of my worries about the bass - especially since I needed to mount them rather high up so I would lose additional bass response. But these things sound great. Bass is totally there (I turn up the bass on my receiver a bit) - and the sound is clean and crisp. I use them for my living room entertainment center, including CD, LP, TV, ipod, etc. They were easy to mount, and they look great too. I'm very happy with these speakers.
