In have two sets of speakers in the back yard surrounding the pool. All four are powered by the same external amplifier. But due to the length of the wire on one set, and the second set being closer to the patio, I needed to manage the output to one set of speakers. The price of this unit was very reasonable and I was confident it would do the job. I mounted an electrical box in the wall near where the wires exit the house and mounted this volume control with out any issues. I especially like the fact that is comes with a choice of colored bezels to match the light switches and outlets near this volume control.

I found this volume control to work well and also like the detent positions which hold the slider in the position I set.

These worked well with the audio source 8in speakers. Installation is not a piece of cake but it is not that difficult either. Definitely worth the money I spent on them! Dont forget to run 2 wires from the amp to the volume control, one for each speaker.
