I'm a type of person who does a lot of research before buying a product. Since I got my new AT&T Samsung A707 phone about a couple of weeks ago, I've been looking for a usb data cable and a leather case. The AT&T store wanted $25 for the data cable and ear buds and $30 for the case. I decided to online research and I stumbled onto Amazon site. I read the reviews and decided to buy the cable (although some people were not happy with it). I ordered the cable and the case on 7/24/07 and they have arrived at my house on 7/26/07! I live in Rochester, NY and the products were shipped from CA. What a service!

I initially had a problem with the cable because I didn't install the driver from the Samsung's website. After installing the driver, I still had problem with downloading the pictures I saved on the phone. I had to change the setting on the menu to "PC Studio mode". The default setting was "Media Player" which you can only do music transfers. I changed the setting to "Ask on Connection".

After changing the setting, I was able to download the pictures onto my computer.

As some of the people had indicated, if the computer is not recognizing the phone, install the correct driver for you phone model from the Samsung's website. I'm very happy with the product! And it saved me $20. Hope this review helps someone.

Cool Concept and everything but when I tried to install the driver my CD-Rom drive wouldnt even pick up that little CD.

I got this cable very fast from BargainCell, and it worked just as I expected. It came with a CD, but based on all the previous comments, I didn't even bother with it, and just downloaded Samsung's PC Studio 3 from their website. The cable fits, and the computer recognized my phone. It's all good!
