The Harrier Jump Jet...For Younger Readers!,
By
This review is from: The AV-8B Harrier Jump Jet (Cross-Sections) (Library Binding)
Though Ole Steen Hansen's THE AV-8B HARRIER JUMP JET is aimed at readers 9-12, it does a surprisingly good job of illustrating and explaining this versatile if complex fighter-bomber. Hansen's book could serve as a primer on the AV-8B or a sale brochure from its maker, the Boeing Company.
Hansen's book tops off at 32 pages. Using short but sweet info. bytes, color photographs and a series of CAD drawings showing the Harrier's cross section, engine, cockpit, weapons and so on, it gives readers of any age a basic introduction to the AV-8B. Junior birdmen especially should really enjoy this well-done 2006 volume, part of the 'Cross-Section' series published by Edge Books. Recommended.
