I was concerned before buying because I saw low reviews of the AVG 2012 products but since I had been happy with AVG for several years I decided to go ahead and buy. However, you can now count me as one of those dissatisfied AVG customers.

My problem was that after I upgraded to AVG Anti-Virus 2012 my Internet access would stop working after 10 - 20 minutes. I had to restart my computer to get it working but after a few minutes it would stop working again (e-mail, web browsing, FTP, everything). After I uninstalled AVG - which I had to use AVG's special remover tool for because standard uninstall didn't complete - my Internet access would work indefinitely, as it should. It's clear that something about this version of AVG was the culprit.

Now I am trying the Kaspersky 2012 trial. I haven't used it long enough to know if I'll end up buying, but I do know that my Internet access works fine. Now to ask Amazon for my money back...
