Bought a pair for my husband who has severe arthritis in his hands and was having more & more trouble with his shoes laces on conventional sneakers. The run true to size, are made of good quality leather and look good too. He is so pleased with these Velcro closing sneakers that we just ordered a second pair. Our cat, who loves to play with shoes laces, is very unhappy.

I bought a pair of these in conjunction with starting a weekly walking routine of about 20-25 miles, and based on the positive reviews I found here and elsewhere. I had never heard of the AVIA brand before. It's now my favorite brand (this and one other model, which I bought in black). At a fraction of the cost of other walking shoes, these give you the same or better comfort, looks and durability as others I've tried. And, as the other reviewers have said, "These are easy on and off!"

A suggestion I offer is that for people, whose width is "D" or greater: go with the "wide" option. It gives plenty of room without sacrificing a good fit. The Velcro straps will control that. You will not feel as if your feet are swimming. You will just feel the comfort of not having your foot all "bunched up!"

These shoes are EXCELLENT!! The velcro makes them easy-on, easy-off. They have wonderful support and shock absorption. I have a very bad back and these really reduce the pain while I'm walking.

The price was great when I purchased them. I also wanted them in black but my size was out. I since got a pair of Propet walking shoes in black and like them even more. Both feature velcro straps, which are a must for my weight and age, but they are not even a bit ugly. These were comfortable for me right out of the box but the longer they wear the better they feel. Good purchase and recommended.

They seem well made and the wider width make them extremely comfortable. I was pleased with the price as well... knowing sneekers can go for a small unwarented fortune.

If you're buying this shoe, I recommend you get it about a half size larger than you usually wear. They're a bit tight on the sides but otherwise comfortable. I've been wearing the same size shoes for over 50 years, so I believe the problem is the shoe, not me.

Shoe was just what I was looking for. An easy slip on sneaker for walking. Fits good.
