5.0 out of 5 stars A Perfect Fit
Dr. recommended these for my plantar faciitis. They are supremely comfortable for my high arches and do seem to ease the pain a little. The width is perfect for my feet. I recommend sizing up for a comfortable fit. I wear a 9, but sized up to 9 1/2. They are fitness walking shoes, but they're also great running errands shoes, and could be great work shoes (if appropriate)...

3.0 out of 5 stars A very good shoe but not for every foot
I've been wearing Avias for many years because I find that the cantilevered sole absorbs shock better than any other walking shoe or aerobics shoe I've ever tried. When I read in a fitness magazine that the A330W was designed specifically for women over 150 pounds, I was eager to try it.

I've been wearing Avias for many years because I find that the cantilevered sole absorbs shock better than any other walking shoe or aerobics shoe I've ever tried. When I read in a fitness magazine that the A330W was designed specifically for women over 150 pounds, I was eager to try it.

The "over 150 pounds" recommendation apparently is related to the extra arch support in the A330W. If you have high arches, or if you benefit from wearing a high arch support, you will probably find the A330W extremely comfortable. If, however, you have flatter feet, like me, you may find that wearing the A330W over prolonged periods of time is actually painful--a problem I've never had with any other Avia shoe.

The shoe runs true to size compared to other Avia styles, and the beige color makes a nice change from the typical white athletic chose. This will be an excellent shoe for many people, but is probably an unsuitable choice for anyone with a low arch.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good shoe, but not enough room for toes, June 7, 2009

I had previously purchased this shoe model and found it to be extremely comfortable. When I needed another pair of shoes, I couldn't find it locally, so I bought it through amazon. For some reason, there does not seem to be quite enough room for my toes, which spoils an otherwise excellent shoe. I'm not sure why this one would be different than the first pair I bought. Could be that this one has leather around the toe box, while the other had some softer material that would stretch slightly.

However, I must say I highly recommend the "rocker" sole construction. I had plantar fasciatis when I bought the first pair, and they were the only shoes that were comfortable to wear. If the company would just add a little more "give" to the toe area, they would be perfect.

5.0 out of 5 stars NOW I KNOW WHAT "NORMAL" FEELS LIKE, February 1, 2011
This review is from: AVIA Women's A330W Walking Shoe (Apparel)
i am 22 years old. i went to shriners childrens hospital from birth to the age of 18 for orthopedic issues. i had surgery to take the majority of leg lenght discrepency out but am still left with one leg a full inch longer than the other. i have suffered with back pain for as long as i can remember and for the past 2 years i have had a lot of ankle trouble due to not walking correctly. i have an incredibly hard time finding shoes and had given up hope until my sister brought home these shoes for herself. needless to say i tried them out when she wasnt home and had to buy them from her. they are tall enough to fit my one inch shoe lift and for once in my body is working like it should. of course i am not out of pain 100% but i can keep up with my 2 year old son and have not gone back to the drs for pain pills. but like the other reviewer had mentioned they only help if you have the issues the shoes are specifically designed for. if you do, then i would HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY reccomend these shoes.

if you are a woman with a high arch I would highly recommend this shoe. This is my third pair. I can go miles without foot and back pain.

I love these shoes. They are super comfy, definitely durable, attractive, and a very good price. The only downside to getting these shoes is, as the other reviewers have said, the toe box is a bit tight. HOWEVER, after a week and a half of regular wear, the toe box loosens up as you "Break Them In".

The only work shoe I will have on my feet. If you have a narrow heel this shoe fits like a glove with a great arch support.
