It's Pretty Spunky For Shower Gel,
This review is from: AXE Shower Gel, Recovery, 12 Fl oz (354 ml), (Case of 6) (Health and Beauty)
Could this be the Red Bull of shower gels? Hardly, but Axe's Recovery Shower Gel has a nice tart lime aroma to it that pops those lazy eyes of yours open. The electrolytes in this gel are supposed to invigorate you if you're running slow in the morning. Maybe they do. Maybe they don't. All I have to say is that the smell alone will notify your senses that it's time to wake up. I like to alternate the lime scent of this gel with Axe Snake Peel's satsuma-like fragrance. They offer a wonderful one-two punch for gentlemen who work in the dirt and grime all day and then stay up a little too late for their own good.

After trying several other Axe products, I decided to give Recovery body wash a try. It ended up being one of my favorite Axe products.
Recovery has a very nice, refreshing, light scent. It really reminds me of Mountain Dew, with a tad more citrus. It's a very light and clean scent, but still remains masculine. With regard to the "invigorating electrolytes", I'm still fairly skeptical. I see it as nothing more than a catchy buzzword to put on a label that doesn't really mean anything. Let's face it... it's just "soap". To me, the invigorating part is the scent, which is just a nice, airy, fresh smell. It's not like downing a bottle of Dew... it just smells that way. I really like the product, and would recommend it to others. It does a nice job of cleaning, and it smells nice. What more do you need in a body wash?

A Woman's Opinion,

I love the smell of "Recovery" on a man in the morning and the masculine smell of "Snake Peel" at night. Axe products are meant to get a woman's attention.

LOVE THIS!!!,

Seeing as how I have to be up at 3am six days a week this stuff is great for me!!! Smells very citrusy (which I like) and really wakes me up in the morning or just before a long night out with friends/family!!! Thanks AXE!

Nothing really special,

I used it for about a month now, to be honest, there is nothing special about this Shower Gel. The smell does keep long even right after shower. And I don't see I am recovery from anything the other day... But the price is pretty good compare to retail (relatively, a few bucks less).

This stuff smells EXACTLY like Ecto Cooler, seriously if you can find the stuff(good luck) compare the smell. Needless to say, this is a good thing. The gel itself is kind of hard to squeeze out, but that doesn't effect how clean I feel and how delicious it smells. Finally an AXE product I don't feel embarrassed buying!

A Good Recovery Time,

Many new bath/shower products come with pretty interesting (and specious) ingredients (like mango-guava essence and tea-bark oil, to make up a few). According to the labelling, these things can do some pretty miraculous things: tighten, illuminate, add bounce, lift and separate!
Ahem. Anyway, my point is that this particular gel claims to contain "electrolytes" that will "invigorate" and "awaken" the skin. I was skeptical at first, but was pleased to find that, in fact, it was a stimulating scrub. The eye-opening effects might have more to do with the gel's clean, non-cloying limeade scent than with any mystical ingredients, but whatever the case, it works.

Bad Product.,
By Brian Galloway (Royal Oak, Michigan) - See all my reviews
This review is from: AXE Shower Gel, Recovery, 12 Fl oz (354 ml), (Case of 6) (Health and Beauty)
I first bought this product in the body spray and wasn't really pleased with it. I then noticed this however smelled very good. Almost like some kind of Lemon/Lime soda. It smelled so good I just had to buy it. Anyways the next morning I tried it out and it was nothing really special. I have to say Axe shower gels do NOT scrub good at like soap or other bodywashes, and this one is no exception. And even in the shower, especially after, there was pretty much no scent. It's way too light. So overall, don't buy this product. Save your money.
