Hillsong United [Across The Earth: Tear Down The Walls],
By
This review is from: A_cross//The_earth:Tear Down The Walls (Audio CD)
Hillsong Church has long drawn its worship leaders from the deep and talented pool of songwriters discovered in its United youth ministry, which includes over 3,000 young people at the church's Sydney and suburban campuses. My initial feedback as a long-time collector of Hillsong and United is that the new album is on par with previous great albums from Hillsong and "Soon" and "You Hold Me Now" are great new worship anthems from the writers and singers of "Lead Me To The Cross", "Mighty To Save" and "From The Inside Out". I hear Joel Houston and Darlene Zschech on a few songs and I love the vocals on the song "Soon", which is written by Brooke (Fraser) Ligertwood and the song is beautiful. Also, I'm not sure of the name of the male singer on "You Hold Me Now" another great song, but he reminds me of Chris Tomlin. "Across The Earth: Tear Down The Walls" features 10 brand new live praise & worship songs and new recordings of "Desert Song" & "Your Name High", previously released on "This Is Our God" by Hillsong.
"Across The Earth: Tear Down The Walls" is Hillsong United's first new live CD since 2006. I've been singing "The Stand", "From The Inside Out", "Mighty To Save", "Salvation Is Here" and many other Hillsong classics at my church for many years and I expect there will be several more worship classics from this album. One of the standout songs to me is the first song "Freedom Is Here". From the opening keyboard part and pulsing drum beat and live audience participation, I knew I was in for a real treat with this album. The next three songs keep the energy going and this album was meant to be experienced along with a live audience as these are truly corporate worship songs. The new recording of "Desert Song", written by Brooke (Fraser) Ligertwood is another standout song for me and the vocals and sweet chorus of the song are very engaging. The anthemic "Tear Down The Walls" is a great call to unity and reminded me of "The Stand" which is one of my all-time favorites. The songs I keep coming back to over and over are "Soon" and "You Hold Me Now". I'm looking forward to singing both of those songs with fellow believers "soon and very soon". "Your Name High", written by Joel Houston is another beautiful song that had me singing along and the closing song "Yours Forever" reminded me of an upbeat newsboys song in the style of "I Am Free".

Amazing Album!,
This review is from: A_Cross // The_Earth: Tear Down The Walls (MP3 Download)
Hillsong United [a_cross // the_EARTH] Tear Down The Walls album surpasses all previous nine albums to date. It seems like with each new album that is produced, you experience a brand new level of God's presence and annointing as we draw together to worship God.
This album marks Hillsong United's tenth album in official production, and there is an unreleased album where you can buy the individual MP3's at http://www.hillsongmusic.com. The name of this unreleased album is called "In The Valley By The Sea."

Try 'em yourself...,
This review is from: A_Cross // The_Earth: Tear Down The Walls (MP3 Download)
I've always heard and played their stuff during times of worship through music in services, but have never "bit the bullet" and actually picked up one of their CDs. But after traveling 9 hours to go see them for a time of worship through music a week after this album came out, I left NEEDING to pick this CD up.
It's just a convicting album that leads you to Himself, something that a lot of music these days don't really do for me. Notable/powerful songs? "Tear Down The Walls", "You Hold Me Now", and "Desert Song".

Good Album,

Another excellent album by Hillsong. These people are always on the cutting edge of Worship through Music. Most of the songs on this album are very good, with "Tear Down the Walls" being my favorite.
The flavor of this album is slightly different than what you may have been used to, but once you get used to it, you will love it.

My three year old son loves Track 1: Freedom is Here. We have listened to it everyday!
I'm glad his taste in music is evolving and I don't have to listen to, "The Wheels on the Bus" 50 times a day anymore!:) Keleigh Crigler author [...]

Hillsong United aka HU has really out done any other christian band that is my opinion but this album is all the more. When you stop and listen to the words it really makes you think, about the world today, and how some things are so sqrewed up that they might not be able to fix. HU has several other albums out but this one is the newest. If you really want to watch something from HU that really touches your heart, go to [...] type in Hillsong UNITED the iheart revolution film teaser or trailer, and watch the whole thing threw it really speaks to you. It made me change my whole perspective on life. I thaught I had it rough then I watched this, if your mind is quite vague on things from a place where you don not live, it really makes you think where it fills that empty spot in yourself. My favorite song is tear down the walls my favorite lyrics from it is
tear down the walls see the world there is so much we have missed for all his sons and daughters who are walking in the darkness who are calling us to lead them back to you, we will see the spirit rising as the lost come out of hiding every heart will see there is hope we have in you I don't need to see it to believe it, I don't need to see it to believe it cause I can't shake this fire deep inside my heart. those are some of my favorite lyrics.

Our church "Believer's Way Church" plays the DVD's of the Hillsong Worship Band in Australia. I have several Hillsong CD's and I love them all! Very upbeat, encouraging, fun music for worship.

Being a frequent Amazon user, I have yet to be disappointed in any product I have ordered, which are mostly books and/or CDs. And the service is quicker than you would imagine, usually receiving my product within five days. Thanks Amazon!
