5.0 out of 5 stars The first new book I've bought in years
When I saw this book in the store I knew I would enjoy it. I couldn't put it down because I had to see what events had shaped Aaron's life preventing him from crossing over, and what prompted him so many years later to follow the author and share his life story with her. 2.0 out of 5 stars TRUE ghost story? Nah. Don't think so.
If you are a fan of Ghost Hunters, skip this book. If you like a nice fiction story with a touch of the paranormal, buy this book. It's an interesting story but, IMO, it's just a STORY. I can't suspend my disbelief to believe a ghost dictated the entire story of his life and death and after-death to the author. (And I REALLY had a hard time believing that this "ghost"...

What a wonderful book! If you've ever read any Sylvia Browne or "Lilydale", you are aware that "we're not alone" by any means. This book does a great job of helping you understand the concept of the Second Layer. And of course it helps you re-examine your own life & how you look at/react to things....we can't do it alone and it will work out, the way its supposed to. I was torn over this book; I wanted to keep reading straight thru till the end, but I also wanted to savor it & make it last as long as possible! Being originally from Michigan, my girlfriend back home loaned me the book. It was just the icing on the cake that it was set (mostly) in Michigan; it would be wonderful no matter what the setting. I will buy two copies of my own; one to keep for myself and the other to loan out to everybody! You owe it to yourself to buy/read this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars skip the TV shows, get the real story here, September 3, 2006
This review is from: Aaron's Crossing (Paperback)
Homegrown (in Michigan) the true story of a medium's encounter with an earthbound soul, his life's story, and crossing. Many nice pieces of information for those working and sensitive to spiritual energies. A fun read, with good concepts of energy, life and the evolutionary process of our soul

5.0 out of 5 stars Now, I'm Back In This World...I Think!!, August 23, 2006
This review is from: Aaron's Crossing (Paperback)
I've read this book three times, and plan to reread it again soon. I still can't stop thinking about it. I was really 'not in this world' anymore when I finished this fantastic story.

What a read!

Being a voracious reader, I know from the first few sentences whether I am hooked or not, and this was obviously one to just go with!!
I loved the premise, and the characters were quirky and real.

The style of the writing was deceptively simple so everyone can read and love this story, but it is also very sophisticated in the sense that it assumes that the reader and the author are sharing this experience together.

One doesn't need to be convinced of the plot. That is not a simple thing to do when reading about ghosts, but Dewey's total involvement makes it very real. I can truly say that I just know that this happened!

I highly reccommend "Aaron's Crossing" for anyone who hopes that their next read is an incredible one.

This one is.

You'll love it!

I can't suspend my disbelief to believe a ghost dictated the entire story of his life and death and after-death to the author. (And I REALLY had a hard time believing that this "ghost" had to learn some of the exact same things that Patrick Swayze had to learn in the movie, "Ghost".) Total ghostly phenomena in here accounted for about 2% of the book as a whole. It's a pleasant enough read but it won't go on the shelf with my paranormal books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Aaron's Crossing: An Inspiring True Ghost Story, August 15, 2006
This review is from: Aaron's Crossing (Paperback)
Aaron's Crossing is a book for the living as well as those who've wondered "is there an afterlife?". Our lives are so important for us as we learn and grow and Aaron's sharing his life and his own conclusions about his life here help us to understand our own and the reasons some things happen in our lives. Also, as someone who helps earth-bound spirits cross over, it was most enlightening to learn what their existance here is like and what some of their needs are before they can cross over.

Great book, a real page turner, had a hard time closing it at night to go to bed. Couldn't wait to find out what happened to Aaron on the next page. Keep up the good work, looking forward to the next book.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Amazing Book, August 15, 2006
This review is from: Aaron's Crossing (Paperback)
Aaron's Crossing was different from anything I have ever read before and being a retired Librarian I've read about everything on the shelves. It has an excellent depth of preception and makes a great study into a realm that's beyond the comprehension of most including myself. It's a book that's hard to put down once you start reading it. The characters are delightful and well rounded making the transition into the story an experience that's unique and commonplace at the same time as an end result one feels blessed just from being able to read his story and I highly recommend it for anybody that loves an adventure.
