Inaccurate and Unreliable,
By Greg Powers (Houston, Texas) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Aavso Variable Star Atlas (Ring-bound)
I was told that this was a good atlas for faint variable stars so I bought a copy of it because I own a large 22" telescope and wanted to pursue stars that would be more challenging. On the first night of using the atlas however I realized it was full of inaccurate positions. One star that I was particularly interested in finding was an astounding 1/4 degree off; and this was just one of many examples. I soon realized that this atlas simply cannot be used for serious work.
