ABBA the Band and the Musical,

ABBA & MAMMA MIA by Claire Welsh is a square book - not by its contents but by its size, just over 6 inch square. The book comes in at a small 125 pages but is full of black and white and then colour photos of the two couples who made up ABBA.
The book is split into 12 chapters and includes an introduction, formation, Fame and Eurovision song contents, Benny Anderson, Bjorn, Ulvaeus, Agnetha Faltskog, AnniFrid Lyngstad and Stig Andersson (not to be confused with Stig from the motoring programme, Top Gear). Other chapters includes those on The ABBA name, the Music, the money, the music lives on, Bjorn again (a tribute) and a final chapter on the stage show - Mamma Mia! If you like ABBA or just the musical, then you will enjoy this book and it's the photos that makes this book more enjoyable. |
