This is a must have for any Abba fan.

Also, the conversations between the Bjorn and Benny puppets is great.

Clocking in at just 6 minutes, it's hardly worth a full DVD.

Given the fact that it was made for the Eurovision Song Contest, which America pretty much only knows of thanks to ABBA, it's surprising this short film is getting such a release. That said, it's a six minute ear-to-ear smile with puppet versions of ABBA (circa '74) trying to impress a slimy record company boss. Most of the dialogue is ABBA lyrics, the cameos are cute and it's just a lot of fun. A overemphasis on one character's oral fixation is the only negative. The DVD is padded with a five minute behind the scenes documentary, videos of the songs featured in the short and a picture gallery.

LOL! A must for ABBA fans, this DVD is a make believe historical account of ABBA trying to make it in the music biz. It has the ABBA puppets auditioning for a slimy record producer and is intercerptdc with cameos of all four ABBA members -- separately of course (the image of Frida and Agnetha together is sadly computer generated--they were filmed at different locations). The dialogue is mostly lines from ABBA songs and unless you're an ABBA fan you may not get all...most...of them. There is a scene where they computer generated a scene from ABBA the Movie. They mixed it in very well I think. A good laugh and sure to please ABBA fans. It also comes with videos of 4 of their biggest hits Take a Chance on Me, The Winner Takes It All, Waterloo, and Dancing Queen.
Only problem is it's too short. Only like 10 or so minutes.

This DVD single is such fun. But what a tease! Although Agnetha and Frida appear "together" through the magic of CGI, it makes one wonder what the future holds in store.

Every ABBA fan should get a copy of this.Very, very cute! And it even sports a cameo by Cher!

This DVD is strickly for diehard ABBA fans such as myself. I loved it, but it is much too short. It is a wonderful premise having ABBA puppets auditioning for recognition. The premise is very original and very funny as well as entertaining. They should have made it longer. It was great seeing the original ABBA members as they appear today. I would have rated it 5 stars if it were at least 30 minutes longer. If you love ABBA it is worth the price of the DVD

This is such a fun video! Great Fun to watch! ABBA as puppets (created expertly by the Jim Henson Group), star appearances (all 4 ABBA members, Cher, and others!), along with great ABBA music, both original songs, background music, spoken word, and more! A real treat with a lot of things you need to see more than once to catch, expecially if you are an ABBA fan! An awesome tribute!

This is a great video that shows that ABBA is so great despite early precictions of them just being a one hit wonder in their early years. They fooled many by becoming the worlds second biggest pop/rock group of all time. They sell more music each year than most of the new acts out today! This video will really appeal and mean much more to avid ABBA fans that know there history but it is very cute and i'm sure will appeal to other fans. The quality is great as are the extra information and clips that explain how it was made. Also, the conversations between the Bjorn and Benny puppets is great. I give this video an A+

Abba - The Last Video In spite of everything, I love this movie. I am not sure why. It is just so quirky! It is definitely not for everyone. Oral sex and homosexuality are referenced. The sheer nastiness of the record executive was a downer, as well. The plot is ABBA auditions for a record contact. The lines which are spoken are parts of song lyrics is a great idea. The puppets getting on the elevator, while a 70's version real life ABBA gets off the elevator is inspired. The members of ABBA all have cameos in the movie. Special features include a documentary on the puppets and special effects used. Hang on and the puppets will do another skit of Benny and Bjorn trying to write a song, that is the best part of the film (there is no direct task button to go to it, you just have to watch the documentary and then wait a bit, and it comes on next.) There are 4 music videos, of ABBA's most popular songs (Waterloo, Dancing Queen, Winner Takes It All, Take a Chance on Me.) I recomend it, just not to kids or those of a sensitive temperment.

Just like the stars of the video, a quartet of 18" puppets in the likenesses of ABBA, this is SHORT. Clocking in at just 6 minutes, it's hardly worth a full DVD. But hey, every minute is a pleasure. The DVD is augmented by 4 full ABBA videos of the songs featured on the soundtrack: "Take a Chance", "Dancing Queen", "The Winner Takes It All" and "Waterloo". Also there is a 5 minute mini-documentary "The Making Of" which is a real treat to watch because it shows you how much love & effort went into the production. The Making Of documentary wraps up with a funny puppet impromptu sketch with the Benny & Bjorn puppets. The feature itself has an all star cast & production team of the highest caliber, notably the puppeteers from Jim Henson's crew (The Muppets). And yes, there is at least 1 appearance by each of the members of ABBA.

Something else about the DVD which is totally awesome is a booklet that serves as a sort of roadmap. You see, almost the entire script was taken from ABBA lyrics. If you're a diehard fan, you'll probably recognize the lyrics immediately, but if not, the booklet lists where each of the lines were taken from, along with pictures of the corresponding scenes. It's like a trivia game in itself. Thus, this DVD--including bonus features & all--should provide ABBA fans with a solid hour of fun, not including repeat viewings which is a given.

In the last 30 odd years since their final album "The Visitors" (their best in my opinion, read my Amazon review), the members of ABBA have been offered no less than 1 godzillian dollars to re-form for a farewell tour. But as Bjorn has quipped, amid a trend of old bands reuniting, ABBA distinguishes itself as being "the band that does not come back." If that is indeed the case and this is truly ABBA's Last Video, it's a fond & fitting farewell to a great bunch of musicians who made the world a slightly happier place. Don't miss the chance to experience this cute coda.
