This review is from: From Abba to Zoom: A Pop Culture Encyclopedia of the Late 20th Century (Paperback)
This almost everything, (but not) pop culture book, is really very good, almost great. It has classic TV shows, movies, top 40 music, Fads, commercials, classic toy's, classic candy bars, great Icons, comics, and much more, popular and not very popular, about stuff from the 1950's to 1990's. Babyboomers should have fun browsing in this book, but younger and older should like this book also. The biggest problem with this book, is putting it down. A book with, The Beatles, Jonny Quest, Coca Cola, Captain Kangaroo, Gilligan's Island, Hot Wheels, Barbie, Mini Skirts, The Flintstones, and much much more in one book can't be all bad. Almost everything? almost, and almost everybody, should have fun reading this book.

I love this book. What a stroll down Nostalgia Lane... ;) My only complaint is that there are no pictures on the inside of the book at all. You can read about things, but if you're trying to explain to a child or someone who does not know, pictures would be nice. I like this book but I will be on the lookout for one with pictures.

This encyclopedia captured my attention. Not only does it offer facts, but interesting insights into 20th century pop culture. Mr. Mansour's publication is an excellent resource for all.

This A-to-Z 'encyclopedia' is not all-inclusive, but it is pretty darn good. It is fun to share some of the entries with my wife and would be more fun to share with my siblings who are all nearing 50 years of age. It is great fun to read and reflect.

I highly recommend it to anyone who loves pop culture both mainstream and obscure.
