The Abbeville, SC, picture book is part of a great series books by Arcadia Press using old photographs. I have a number of these books and I enjoyed this one a great deal. As a former resident it was another reminder of the great history that can be found in Abbeville County and especially in the town of Abbeville. Previously Abbeville has received limited coverage in the media. This book fills an important gap. Hopefully the County Historical Society will consider a sequel to this book. There are many things that either were not covered in this book or received only partial coverage. Abbeville County has a rich history and books like this can go a long ways toward making that history known outside of the County.
