I expected a typical Abbott and Costello romp and received a bonus. I had as much fun watching Costello be the straght man and Abbott taking all the pratfalls, as Costello had doing all the setups for Abbott. I wish all the segments could have been about Christmas, but it was still classic comedy.

I love Abbott and Costello and greatly enjoyed this video. It's nearly two hours long and a considerable amount of that is actual old commercials which made it even more fun and entertaining! It's like taking a walk back through time to see some good clean humor. My only slight disappointment (hence the 4 and not 5 stars in my rating) was that the majority of the content is not Christmas oriented at all which I've found is quite common for the time period with television Christmas specials. However, the film is pure comedy and music entertainment at it's best!

This is laugh out loud funny. Doesn't matter how many years ago these were filmed, they're as funny today as they were then. Wish there was much more of these on DVD, great fun for all ages. Even our 8 yr. old got a kick out of them. Worth the price, go for it.

Let me preface this review: I love A&C movies. Love them. So why the bad review?

The quality of this dvd is poor. There is little enhancement to the audio or visual aspects, but, mostly, the description of this dvd is misleading.

This special was merely the Christmas timed version of the Colgate Comedy Hour. Not all the skits are A & C and those that are aren't all that holiday centric. In fact, most have no reference to hte holidays. The music aspects of this "special" aren't holiday based either.

I don't have much to reference, but I would have expected something much more of the content revolved around Christmas if it was truly a Christmas Special.

In my opinion, it wasn't even worth the $2 I spent for it, as I will never watch it again.

What memories! I was little guy when Colgate sponsored the Abbott & Costello Show and this two episode gem highlights the talents of this comedy duo. The first hour episode is the Christmas special (wait 'til you hear the awesome voice of Margaret Whiting). The second is a random episode that is simply hilarious (wait 'til you see the snake woman). 5 stars. The best part is that many of the skits contain lots of pushing, shoving and falling down. No stunt people here. Bud and Lou do it all by themselves.

Recieved the DVD in very good condition and in a very resonable amount of time. Abbott and Costillo are the funnest team around next to Laurel and Hardy. Would recommend to anyone who likes Abbott and Costillo.
