Abby Heugel is a professional writer/editor and aspiring hermit in Michigan who is waiting to be discovered as either a brilliant writer, Broadway star or professional asparagus eater. She can’t sing very well, so she’s hoping the other two pan out. All 2011 profits from the sale of this title will go to the Humane Society of West Michigan. This is a must read for anyone who wants an afffirmation that you are normal and stuff happens..... alot. So funny and snarky and right on point. It will make you laugh out loud and quietly bring you back to memories you forgot you have and hopefully make you take a look at the everyday occurences that make sense and humor.. if you choose to see them.

If you need a little light-hearted fun in your reading list, you'll definitely want to pick this one up. Since it's from her blog, the entries are short but pack a punch. It's all about finding the humor in the everyday, especially for us women. Even though "Abby Has Issues," she's quite good at getting us to laugh with her and making our lives seem that much more okay.

This was a laugh out loud, funny read. Although I find myself quite hilarious, it takes a lot for me to laugh out loud during a movie or when reading a book. I could picture myself doing some of the things Abby was doing and I've had many of the same thoughts Abby has had that she writes about. Highly reccomend reading...and laughing :)

A garden gnome told me that I should be reading the trials and tribulations of this girl they'd been harassing, and I'm so glad they did! Abby's insightful, funny stories remind me why I should visit my grandmother more often (material) and that lots of people perpetually walk into walls. We are not alone in the universe.

A completely hilarious read. Abby has put into words the internal thoughts that we all believed we were the only one having. If you like to laugh, this is the book for you. If you don't like to laugh, then you have issues and can relate to the author.

like reading this generations Erma Bombeck. Keep some hankies handy both from laughing and from the sentimental essays about Gram and the others at the rest home. An absolute must read!

A series of short essays tied together by Abby Heugel’s wit and humor are gathered into a single short volume titled Abby Has Issues. Don’t we all? Thought you were alone in the stuff that happens to you? Well, think again, and see your issues through the laugh-out-loud humor of Abby’s lens. Or, recall the poignant moments with your own grandmother as you join Abby with hers in the nursing home surrounded by the characters who make up that community. Abby’s view of the everyday is unique, funny, a bit sarcastic, and in her own way, downright charming. She’s like a Southern Belle, but with lots more personality because she has that steel magnolia thread running through her prose as she describes life like it really is. Love her. Love her talent with prose. Love the way she allows me to see the humor in what usually frustrates. Abby is the person I wish lived next door to me. You will, too. Grab this book today. You’ll be glad you did.
