This book was very helpful and I did pass the ARDMS abdomen registry exam. However, the actual test questions were a lot different and included more than what is covered in this book. For example, the ARDMS test now includes images and questions showing small parts such as the Achilles and the wrist which are not reviewed in this book. Overall, I think it did help me. The publisher says their review books are "thought-provoking" and this is very true. The questions help you think things all the way through. Especially for those great questions we all love like "all these can cause carcinoma EXCEPT."

I think this was a great book to use for my review. I in no way would say that using this book solely will guarantee a passing score but in combination with Roger C. Sanders "Exam Preparation for Diagnostic Ultrasound" and Edelman's online X-zone questions I think you will be well on your way. I think the key to passing the abdomen exam is to test your knowledge with as many different questions as you possibly can. In my own opinion, I thought the test was harder than I expected and again, because of the vast amount of information that there is to cover when it comes to the abdomen, I would recommend testing yourself with as many different types of questions as possible! Overall this is a great start if your frustrated and don't know where to begin!

Just took and passed my abdomen exam yesterday....so I can definitely say that this was a good addition to my studying, but I can't say any of these questions in this book were on the exam. I think I still would have passed without it, but it was a good review study guide. Really know your pathology in and out and lab values!! Also, try to find the worst images of pathology out there to study, because that's what you'll see on your test lol.

I just passed the ARDMS abdomen registy this week, and I have to say that this book helped me do exactly that. Now, in saying that please do not expect that the questions in the review book are exactly the same as on the test, but they are very similar and help you think through the process of elemination. I used this book and the virtual flash cards and passed with ease. Every ARDMS test is different and with each one comes a focus on an odd thing, like small parts, testicles, wrist, or prostate, which I think is just the stupidist thing ever. They should just make a small parts registry and leave this stuff off the abdomen exam. In saying that just focus on the big parts of the abdomen and you should do fine. Hope this review helps others in their sonography acomplishments.

This is a very resourceful book for test preparation. However, there are a few errors in the answer, and sometimes the explanation is not really convincing.

it give you a good idea how is your reading and perparation so far for the exam.
it is good organized chapter by chapter.

Very Helpful while reviewing for the ARDMS!! I found the actual test questions were similar to the books. Must buy if you are preparing to sit for your registry.

This was an excellent book to study for the registry. It contained alot of the questions on the test. I took the registry, and passed. I dont think I would have without this book. A good choice and a good investment.

This review book is great for abd review but the RDMS exam that I took was completely different. There were maybe 10% or less questions on the RDMS that were covered in the review book. The RDMS exam has lots of pediatric and other ultrasound questions that the review book didn't cover.

i bought this because i was going in to take abdomen for the 2nd time and i didn't want to make it a 3rd. i had a lot of questions on my registry test that were very similar to these questions. i like how it is organized by organ/body systems also so you can conquer one part at a time. GREAT INVESTMENT!!
