I dabbled with both Surgical Recall and Secrets, and this one is clearly better. Presented in the same Q&A style as Recall, it spares you all the space fillers. Instead, it is more concise and extremely helpful.

Unlike Recall, each chapter in the book hits the essential questions about clinical management and takes a very evidence-based approach. It is not bogged down with basic questions like, "What is a hernia?" Rather, it is filled with cutting-edge science, and it explains both sides of controversial areas of medicine too.

Seriously, this text actually prepares you for your attendings' questions. I found it very valuable on my third-year surgery rotation and would recommend it.

This a very well presented book. It's legible, atractive and concise. It's very usefull material in reviewing differents and importants subjects in the surgical area for rounds, discussions and presentations with my medicine students and surgery residents.
