I purchased this headset for my cell phone. So, I'm listening to Down to the Waterline by Dire Straits. The rhythm guitar sounds great; the bass is clear. Then I notice that the lead guitar is barely audible. It seems like this is due to the jack's having only two bands instead of the usual three on the standard earbud headset's jack. When I use the headset on the computer (where the adapter splits the signal into separate audio in and out jacks), I do get all the music, and it comes through clearly. However, I'm not wild about the Linx Audio noise reduction. Maybe it's just my imagination, but it seems to make the overall sound a little muddy, giving notes less sustain. Bleah, I didn't like noise reduction in the 80s, and it seems like it still isn't much better.

Also, in a voice test, my wife said the quality of my voice was overly bassy, unlike my prior earbud headset (which had a run-in with my front bicycle wheel).

And the headset is tight on me; part of the reason I bought this (besides the ruination of my last headset) was I don't enjoy earbuds in my ear, but this doesn't feel good either. And there's no button on the headset to switch between voice calls and music.

I would recommend this headset for someone who wants to clearly hear rhythm guitar and bass parts. That is actually a great thing, and why I'm giving it two stars, not one.

Overall, not a winner, and I'm returning it.
