Recomended to any dj who wants to remix and mash-up, September 9, 2007
This review is from: Ableton Live 6 (CD-ROM)
EAsy to use program and has so many great features have not gotten to them all. this is a must program if you want to remix or create mash ups wether on the mac or pc. only fall back is that you pay almost 600 for this but are only allowed by ableton to put it into 2 computers. if you want more you have to email them and give a good reason as to why. i have to at home computers i use and at least three diferent laptops that i travel with and was only able to use one laptop and one home computer.other than that fall back its a great program.

Simple and extremely powerful, June 20, 2007
This review is from: Ableton Live 6 (CD-ROM)
I used to work with Cubase and Sonar and I always felt more like fighting with the program than being assited by it. In my world, technology should work for you and not the other way around. I got a demo version of this software and I was very amazed to find an "all in one solution" for my home studio recordings and productions. Live is so darn intuitive and easy to navigate (it features an extremely helpful "info" window that gives you details on whatever you are clicking on -don't panic, you can turn it off anytime).
In addition, it can host your existing stock of VST's, and integrate Reason thru Rewire quite easily. The full release also features some of the simplest-yet-coolest collection of ableton's exclusive synths. Audio configurations are done in a breeze, and navigating, recording, looping, selecting and editing audio clips have never been easier for me. It also features some of the coolest dj/live performance tools around, so I might just say that its possibilities appear endless to me.
It is my humble recommendation that you get this together with Reason 3 and Sony's Soundforge to get your homestudio turbocharged into the future (and while we're at it, I thoroughly recommend getting a copy of Arturia's Minimoog too!). I'm just a couple of hundred bucks (!) short from the full release, but in a month or so I'll have enough dough to get a copy of this program. Stop fighting and start unleashing your full musical potential.
