5.0 out of 5 stars 14 ed Abnormal Psychology
The 14th edition is an excellent text for Abnormal Psychology or Behavior Pathology. Its cross reference to the DSM-IV-TR is up to date and current with the most recent research on all of the DSM-IV-TR disorders. I do not recommend purchasing an earlier edition, because this has so much more detail and illustrations especially the most recent brain biology.Abnormal...

3.0 out of 5 stars Average but too much fluff
Material in book was pretty good overall, and I liked how they had chapter summaries, and sections dedicated to updates/advancements in the field. The negative thing about this textbook is that the print is so small it made my eyes hurt reading it and there was too much fluff. The chapters took forever to read and with all the fluff it made it nearly impossible to skim.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good book, but be warned..., March 21, 2010

If you're ordering the "paperback" version that includes My Psych Lab, the book comes UNBOUND. It is hole punched for a 3-ring binder. I don't mind, but was surprised when I got it. The book itself is great. Very informative & easy to read. My Psych Lab is helpful as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars psychology book, April 17, 2009
I like this book. It gives an overview of all the major abnormal disorders (Schizophrenia, personality disorders, childhood disorders, GAD and PTSD, ect . . .) and from what I understand, it is fairly similar to the 13th edition that has come out more recently.

Great book. Very interesting and informative. Hardback is nice. I bought this book for my Human Sexuality class and I really enjoyed reading it unlike most other textbooks!
