5.0 out of 5 stars Abnormal Psychology in a Changing World
I found the book to be overall comprehensive, well-structured, and well-written. It is a good, concise source of information even for those not yet too advanced in psychology like myself. Examples of case scenarios are usually provided and supplement otherwise factual information thoroughly.

1.0 out of 5 stars Information about product unclear
I also received the CRAM101 study guide that just contained definitions for terms. Not useful at all. I should have went with my gut feeling after reading the other reviews and not ordered this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bio-psycho-social, August 12, 2008

The two other reviews on this textbook do not address the text book itself they address the person who shipped the book to them.

This is the second abnormal psych book that I have read. It is a great resource and provides insight into causes and into treatment. The book discuss treatment from many of the major theory's.

The text discuss the etiology of psychopathology from a bio-psycho-social model. The text discuss an diathesis stress model which claims that people have certain genetic dispositions to pathology.

The book goes over case studies with most of the disorders that it covers. These provided a good picture of how and why certain things can be classified as abnormal.

My class started just 3 days before I ordered this book. Not only was it delievered quickly but it was nicely packaged and came in great condition. So far what I have read is really interesting as well. Just started reading it and it has very interesting subjects about behavior and how it all started.

1.0 out of 5 stars Item fine seller NOT, December 13, 2009
After ordering this book I tried multiple times to cancell this order before it was even shipped the seller decided to still ship this book to me and charge me. Not only could i not use this book but i would have lost more money trying to send it back as they state they can take a portion or re-stocking fee. This seller will definetly stick out as one NOT to use

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Review, September 24, 2005
The company I used managed to get the book sent to me in a reasonable amount of time. The book was in better condition than advertised, still shrink-wrapped with the CD in it (a highly useful CD at that). I was very pleased with the book overall and highly reccomend it to anyone studying in this field of psychology.
