We were able to get the thing working consistently if you place the trigger ball at the extreme edge of the cannon and make sure it rolls into the first ball.
Even so, the result was disappointing. With the name of 'Cannon' you expect the ball to shoot with some force, but it really just rolls off the end for about 3 feet on a short carpet. Includes a sheet explaining the physics behind the cannon. My kids played with it for about 5 minutes, then got bored and went on to something else.

Wife got this for me today for Xmas as a novelty gift. Doesn't work at all. 1st ball launches 2nd ball about 50% of the time, and even then never has enough force to trigger the remaining balls. Tried repositioning the magnets for about 1hr with no luck. Just doesn't work. Too bad. I'll be sending this one back.
