To understand the problems of breast cancer, it is important to first undertand somehting about cancers in general. Hence, this book gives a description of cancers in general before special reference is made to the specific aspects of breast cancer.
The book provides background information about the structure and fuction of the breast, the causes of cancer in general and the factors associated with breaqst cancer in particular. It goes on to examine in detail the treatment of breast cancer and its management.
The final part of the book summarises future direction for incidence, investigation and treatment of breast cancer based on current research, and likely future avenues of research.
