An Enjoyable CD, May 16, 2003

I bought this CD on the recommendation of a friend. It was money well spent, if you like your guitar playing melodius and uncomplicated but solid, then Dirk K's 'About you' you is the album for you. His cover 'I like your smile' is nice and up-tempo and gives you a nice intro to what's to come. There are at least four to five other well crafted tracks with groove and melody. Some will say that he should be/is to Smooth Jazz in terms of guitar play, what Boney James is to the sax, however I'm not too sure about that with his other release 'Beach Ball' which was a terrible turn off. I know for a fact that he has some other releases on the market but they are under an obscure label. However with regards to what's available - grab yourself this album it's a good listen.
