This is a great video, covering the most basic points of LoA and the most common problems that people run into when learning to utilize it.

However, IMO, it is *not* geared towards the *absolute newbie* to LoA and Abraham. It is designed for those who have been introduced to LoA elsewhere, whether it was from Abraham or not. If you are *absolutely brand new* to LoA and new age ideas like this, then my personal recommendation is to start with two other works first, and then come back to this DVD and the other Abraham materials.

I personally recommend the movie/book called "The Secret". If you get the DVD, any version should do fine, but many prefer the original which has Esther Hicks in it: http://www.amazon.com/Secret-Original-Esther-Hicks-Rhonda/dp/B000K3I7SO/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1219265377&sr=1-5.

Also, the best starting point for the Abraham materials, is the book "The Law of Attraction: The Basics of the Teachings of Abraham", http://www.amazon.com/Law-Attraction-Basics-Teachings-Abraham/dp/1401912273 This is what I started with and it is an excellent primer for the LoA, and IS designed for the absolute newbie to LoA and Abraham. This really should be read before any of the other Abraham materials. (Ftr, there are audio book versions of their major works like this one)

I also highly recommend "What the Bleep Do We Know?" http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_d?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=what+the+bleep&x=0&y=0 This is a fun, enjoyable, and very enlightening film. It will open your mind to all kinds of new possibilities.

If you have been searching for 'the secret' all of you life; that key that, part of you, deep down inside, knew was out there somewhere. The solution to all of our problems and the key to all of our dreams, the LoA is IT! It IS the KEY!

Now for some tech specs on the 101 dvd for those interested:

* @ 5 min. of Jerry at the beginning, then about 55 min. of Abraham through Esther, then @ 5 min. of Jerry at the end. Abraham lectures for about 45-50 min., and then calls on one audience member to ask a question about 'believing, but then getting stuck'. After answering this question, Abraham says a few closing remarks, and then Jerry comes up. Audio quality is not the greatest, but more than good enough to get the info across, and is most noticeable at the beginning when there is music.

.......oh, and you get to see the Hicks pulling into the hotel in their 'Monster Bus' at the beginning!

One final thought....... Imo, while this DVD is an excellent addition to anyone's LoA collection, I think it is best suited to those who are fairly well versed in the other Abraham materials. For me, it was kind of a refresher on the simplicity of the basic elements. Kind of a, "Oh yeah, I forgot about that", or, "Yep, I've been trying to make it more difficult than it really is".

For those who are ready to dig into the 'meat and potatos' of LoA, I think it would be best to get the books/audio books of Ask and it is Given (my favorite, after I read 'the basics' book), and the next two, Art of Allowing and Astonishing Power of Emotions. For DVD's, check out the Alaskan Well Being Cruise and the new Master's Course DVD. These are both very long, and will kind of give you an encyclopedia of LoA info, but they are pricier. Abraham/Hicks has lots of books/audio books and DVD's to choose from and they even have a free audio primer on their web site. Good luck!
