I believed I was eating very healthily, but Abs on the Go pointed out many areas that I have since improved upon. I especially like using coconut oil and the Almond Milk, which when mixed with my protein, is delicious and refreshing after my workout.
What I found very educational to me was listing the many ways "sugars" are included in packaged foods, good fats v. bad fats, etc. I no longer purchase ANY pre-packaged foods. I buy only fresh foods and make all my meals from scratch. The recipes in the book firstly are delicious and easy to prepare, but it also opens your eyes to other recipes as far as what is good or bad in them, i.e. the amount of salt most recipes use. If I have to use salt, I use sea salt, but minimally.
The most common thing I hear people tell me is "I know I am supposed to eat proteins and not carbs, but what is protein and what are carbs?" This book lists all the categories including proteins, carbs, fibres, fats etc. Very useful and handy.
Gratefully, I am not an eater of fast foods, sweets, bread or junk foods, but the fact that I can eat pastas, popcorn and other things not recommended during the week on the weekend makes this diet plan so easy to follow.
I was already on some supplements but have introduced new ones to my daily regiment, i.e. fish oil, an antioxidant and others. The book further describes the whys and benefits. This is not a diet book, it is an education of your body and mind, and what makes both healthier.
I recommend this book to everyone, especially those who do not work out for whatever reason.

What a different way of thinking! They make it sound so easy... and yet, I tried it, and it was!

This book really got me excited to kick start a new routine... a lifestyle change. I already eat pretty healthy and work out 5 times a week with one little problem... my additcion to CHOCOLATE!! But... I can still have my chocolate by following their rules!

You just have to discipline yourself during the week, then, once Friday afternoon comes I can still enjoy drinks and my beloved chocolate!

Delicious recipes, my favourite recommendation from them was Almond Milk. I ONLY drink this with my protein shakes now and never buy milk.

The authors also included a ton of info that I never read in my Shape magazines about fiber, vitamins, estrogen levels in women, and positive thinking to help me WANT to achieve my new goals.

Looking forward to a sequel and more secrets from these first time authors.
