I Would Use This to Teach My Beginning Course,
By David Bookman "Sir Readsalot" (Ocala, FL USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Absolute Beginner's Guide to Computer Basics (3rd Edition) (Paperback)
I teach Intro to Computers at a local community college. I wish this was our textbook! It's easy to read and comprehend without getting too techie. The range of topics covered is incredible. Mr. Miller keeps the explanations simple, sometimes humorous without the clutter you find in the Dummies books, and layed out in a format that is easy on the eyes and the brain. I recommend this book to my beginning students to complement what we cover in the Intro class.

An Excellent Help For Beginners,
By Edward James "Ed" (Bridgeton, MO, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Absolute Beginner's Guide to Computer Basics (3rd Edition) (Paperback)
I borrowed this book from the library and found it so helpful I bought one. I am fairly new to PCs, having had several years experience on Macs and needed help with various aspects of operation, maintenance, etc. I use this book as a reference book and study guide and have adopted the suggestions in it for routine maintenance. I have used other resources but in my opinion, this one is the best.
