5.0 out of 5 stars It's over? Already?
I was shocked when i finally figured out that this was the last volume in the series. "Absolute Boyfriend" has jerked my emotions in every volume, and I wasn't ready for it to stop so soon. That being said, Yuu wrapped things up beautifully. While it may not have been the best ending for all the characters, it was certainly the right one.

3.0 out of 5 stars A good series - a not so good final book
I thought this was a really good series up until the last book. Yes, it has a sad ending, but I guess that's the way it had to end. HOWEVER, I felt really jipped because the story doesn't even take up the entire BOOK. The final chapters only comprise of maybe 100 pages while the rest of the book is two short stories by, I'm assuming, Yuu Watase. I think she could have...

The final chapters only comprise of maybe 100 pages while the rest of the book is two short stories by, I'm assuming, Yuu Watase. I think she could have added a LOT more to the ending than she did. Give a little more insight on Soshi, and why have all those extra characters if she wasn't going to do anything with them? It kind of felt Yuu was tired of the story and just wanted to end it as quickly as possible.

4.0 out of 5 stars Amazing, January 24, 2010

This is a great story. Honestly, this is the only manga that I've ever read and made me cry. I was bawling actually. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it doesn't even take up the whole book, which I found very unfortunate. I would have loved to hear more about the ending.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing story, but a sad ending, May 3, 2009
This review is from: Absolute Boyfriend, Vol. 6 (Paperback)
Im sad that its already over, but this is an amazing series so I recommend it to everyone. But this particular volume is kinda short and really depressing in the end, I loved Night, but I feel it really couldnt of ended any other way.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not a spoiler review, April 21, 2009

The ending is what it is, I won't go into that for fear of spoiling it for those who have yet to read it.

The only thing to be wary of about this volume is that the Absolute Boyfriend story only takes up about a third of the book, the rest of it consists of unrelated short stories. Personally I wish I'd just borrowed the last volume instead of paying full price for such an abrupt ending. If you collect them or if you can find it cheap then you may want to buy, otherwise I'd suggest borrowing it if you have the option.

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed, January 14, 2009

I thought the series was very cute from the start, but the ending was not satisfactory to me. I get the point of having a first love and losing it, but I just expected a little more. Overall, it was a good, though short series. I'd recommend it. Just don't be too sad when you get to the ending. You can take your frustrations out in fan fiction.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Boyfriend For Sale, January 23, 2012
This review is from: Absolute Boyfriend, Vol. 6 (Paperback)
I love Absolute Boyfriend (Zettai Kareshi) it is so funny. I also love the detail and time Yuu Watase puts into all her manga, she is so gifted. I enjoyed Zettai Kareshi so much, the idea of having a perfect boyfriend you can buy. I thought it was funny how she wouldn't have sex with him but kind of had to and didn't at first anyway. I loved that she was flat chested and made fun of herself about it, made me feel better about me.

2.0 out of 5 stars Heart Breaking, October 29, 2007
This review is from: Absolute Boyfriend, Vol. 6 (Paperback)
Yuu Watase has the tendency of manipulating your feelings and breaking your heart at the end. This novel started so great. I mean who doesn't want someone like NIGHT (super nice, sexy, cute, tender and protective, extra) However, things turned out differently for Rieko. The end is very sad and predictible I guess. Reiko ends up with the true boyfriend while the other one dies. I couldn't stop the flow of tears. I mean why does Watase creates such suffering; same thing with Toya from Ceres and Tamahome from Fushigi Yugi. I think Watase should change her style and stop repeating herself and also change her characters design template- They all look alike.
